  • Publication number: 20240120809
Abstract: A fluid pump includes a motor disposed within an outer housing. The motor includes a stator and a rotor in electromagnetic communication with the stator. Windings are disposed on the stator that receive an electric current for defining the electromagnetic communication. A pump element is attached to the rotor via a drive shaft. The pump element operates with the rotor to deliver a fluid through a hydraulic fluid path. A plurality of sensors measure information related to at least one of the stator, the windings, the rotor, the pump element, the fluid and the hydraulic fluid path. A controller is in communication with the windings for delivering the electric current to the windings. The controller is also in communication with the plurality of sensors for measuring and recording the information and communicating this information to one of an external memory and an external controller.

  • Publication number: 20240091277
Abstract: Therapeutic modalities are provided involving the use of specific repertoirs of PRR ligands to ameliorate immune dysregulation in a perioperative period. In effect, innate immune system signaling is provoked in the perioperative period so as to facilitate a targeted immune response following surgery. Subjects may accordingly be treated with immunogenic formulations tailored to a specific target tissue to treat a subject during the perioperative period surrounding surgery to remove a solid tumor, where the target tissue is the site of the tumor or a characteristic site of metastasis for the cancer.

  • Patent number: 10684928
Abstract: A storage server receives a control signal indicating that a specific storage device of a plurality of storage devices housed by a specific storage media tray has failed. The storage media tray is in turn housed by the specific storage server, which can house many such trays. In responsive to receiving the control signal, the server activates a visual fault indicator on an external display panel, indicating that the storage server contains a storage media tray housing a failed storage device. An external visual indicator on the specific storage media tray is activated to indicate that the specific storage media tray houses a failed storage device. The specific storage media tray activates an internal visual indicator identifying the specific storage device which has failed in the specific storage media tray. When the specific failed storage device has been replaced with a working storage device, the indicators are deactivated.

  • Publication number: 20150024083
Abstract: The invention relates to a liquid or gelled pasteurized or sterilized composition comprising free amino acids, calcium, a digestible carbohydrate, and preferably an indigestible carbohydrate, wherein the free amino acids are present in a concentration between 5 and 30 g/100 ml, and the dry weight of the total composition is at least 40 g/100 ml, and preferably lower than 60 g/100 ml. The composition may in particular be used in the treatment of a human suffering from a disorder selected from the group consisting of phenylketonuria, homocystinuria, maple syrup urine disease, tyrosinaemia, propionic acidaemia, methylmalonic acidaemia, isovaleric acidaemia, urea cycle disorders and glutaric aciduria.

  • Patent number: 5880467
Abstract: Spectroscopic materials analysis wherein a sample under test is bombarded by electrons in a scanning electron microscope to produce an x-ray emission collected over a large solid angle by a polycapillary lens and focused onto the surface of a microcalorimeter detector. The x-ray lens is used to increase the effective collection area of the microcalorimeter detector used in an x-ray spectrometer. By increasing the collection angle, the time period for x-ray collection is reduced and the detector can be located farther from the x-ray source. The x-ray lens is effective over a broad energy range of x-rays, thus providing compatibility with spectroscopic analysis. The microcalorimeter can be calibrated to compensate for any variations in the transmission efficiency of the x-ray lens.
