  • Patent number: 10802039
Abstract: An estimation system includes a module for measuring a current angle of attack and current flight parameters of the aircraft, a module for estimating a current lift coefficient of the aircraft from the current flight parameters and from a mass of the aircraft, a module for estimating an angle of attack for a zero lift from the current angle of attack, from the current lift coefficient and from a slope of an affine part of at least one theoretical curve describing a lift coefficient of the aircraft as a function of an angle of attack, a module for estimating the current position of the flaps of the aircraft from the angle of attack for a zero lift and a module for sending the current position of the flaps to a user device.

  • Patent number: 8814092
Abstract: An aircraft fuselage has at least one reinforcement frame (13), at least one crossbar (14) and at least one energy-absorbing structural element (2) that includes a compression beam (21) having a longitudinal axis Z and oriented substantially in the direction of compression forces to be absorbed upon an impact, the compression beam being attached at a first end (213) thereof to the crossbar (14) and at a second end (214) thereof to the reinforcement frame (13). The compression beam (21) is attached at least one of its ends (213, 214) via a shoulder bracket (22), wherein the shoulder bracket further has the function of cutting the compression beam (21) in case of an impact.

  • Patent number: 8215584
Abstract: An aircraft structure including stiffened panels assembled at the junction, without continuity of the stiffeners. Multiple panels are used to form the fuselage, tail units and wings of an aircraft. These panels include stiffeners which are interrupted at each panel junction. However, the stresses experienced by the stiffeners must be transmitted despite these interruptions. Known solutions require the use of at least one additional part per stiffener and per interruption. In order to solve this problem, the disclosed embodiments include a doubler necessitating at most one additional part per panel junction area for all of the interrupted stiffeners in this area.

Date of Patent: July 10, 2012
    Assignee: Airbus Operations SAS
