  • Patent number: 12265470
Abstract: Selectively bypassing cache directory lookups for processing-in-memory instructions is described. In one example, a system maintains information describing a status—clean or dirty—of a memory address, where a dirty status indicates that the memory address is modified in a cache and thus different than the memory address as represented in system memory. A processing-in-memory request involving the memory address is assigned a cache directory bypass bit based on the status of the memory address. The cache directory bypass bit for a processing-in-memory request controls whether a cache directory lookup is performed after the processing-in-memory request is issued by a processor core and before the processing-in-memory request is executed by a processing-in-memory component.

Abstract: A comb for mounting to a hair-care appliance configured to supply a heated airflow. The comb includes a housing defining an inlet for receiving an airflow from the appliance when mounted thereto and an outlet fluidly connected to the inlet for discharging the airflow. The comb further includes first and second tooth structures mounted to the housing, each tooth structure comprising a row of teeth extending longitudinally across the outlet. The comb also includes a trigger operatively connected to the first or second tooth structure and configured such that depressing the trigger provides relative longitudinal movement between the teeth of the first tooth structure and the teeth of the second tooth structure from a retracted position for receiving a tress of hair between teeth of the first and second tooth structures to an extended position for clamping the tress of hair between teeth of the tooth structures.

  • Publication number: 20250101780
Abstract: A vehicle galley compartment retention assembly, a retaining handle assembly, and mounting block. The handle assembly having a shaft comprising a first shaft detent feature, and a retaining handle. The retaining handle being fixed relative to the shaft such that the shaft rotates when the retaining handle is rotated. The mounting block having a cavity, and a cavity detent feature on the inner surface of the cavity. The shaft being configured to be inserted into the cavity, and to be rotatable within the cavity, and the shaft detent feature and the cavity detent feature interacting with each other to hold the retaining handle in a first angular position when rotationally aligned. • Patent number: 12262297
Abstract: A Method and System for coordinating help to an individual experiencing a medical emergency from their designated Emergency Care Team (ECT). The location of the Person in Distress (PID) and all of their emergency contacts is determined. A real time audio video conference is created which enables the PID and all members of the ECT to communicate. Real time vital signs from the PID's wearable health monitor is streamed to all participants. The PID's medical history is temporarily unlocked and provided on demand to the ECT members. The ECT members participate as available with no single person or call center coordinating this effort. Additional participants may be added to the conference at the discretion of the ECT members including, but not limited to the E911 operator for the PID's locale, the PID's medical providers, other individuals from the PID's contact list, or other individuals as may be deemed important to the response.

  • Publication number: 20250090874
Abstract: The present discussion relates to the delivery of ultrasonic therapy energy to a target region in conjunction with a clear path determination that may assess one or more of: (1) presence of non-soft tissue regions within the therapy beam path (e.g., bone or bone-like structures, gas-filled cavities, and so forth), (2) partial “lift-off” of the probe head; or (3) sufficiency of acoustic coupling. Upon determination or confirmation of at least a partial clear path with respect to some or all of these factors, the therapy beam may be delivered to the target region.

  • Publication number: 20250094244
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for high-availability computing systems. A computer processor executes a sequence of instructions to execute, on a first node of a computing platform, a first instance of a computing process that is configured to use a first graphics processing unit (GPU) in a first GPU configuration. Responsive to detection of a loss of functionality that affects the first node, a second instance of the computing process is configured to be executed on the second node. The determination of aspects of the second node is made by (1) consulting a machine learned model to retrieve recommended known configuration states, then (2) mapping the recommended known configuration states onto one or more alternate second GPU configurations, and (3) configuring the second instance of the computing process to use the second GPU in one of the recommended known configuration states.

  • Publication number: 20250087323
Abstract: The present teaching relates to medical record completion. In one example, a medical record of a patient is received. The medical record is associated with a plurality of components comprising a first component with a populated value and a second component with an unpopulated value. The unpopulated value of the second component is estimated based on the populated value of the first component in accordance with a first model. Information associated with the medical record and/or the patient is obtained. The values of the first and second components are validated based on the obtained information in accordance with a second model. The first and second models are dynamically updated based on data related to medical transactions of a plurality of patients.

  • Patent number: 12247830
Abstract: A method and system for measuring signal loss in a fiber optic cable. The tail ends of reference and test fiber optic cables are illuminated with a diffuse light. The head end of each of the reference and test fiber optic cables are positioned in a measurement area. A core imager captures an image of the core of each head-end while it is in the measurement area. Reference and test radiant fluxes emitted from the reference and test head-ends are determined from the respective core images. The relative signal loss of the test fiber optic cable is then determined by comparing the test radiant flux to the reference radiant flux.

  • Publication number: 20250077125
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for access heatmap generation at a memory device are described. In some examples, a memory device may maintain a register for tracking access operation occurrence, for which access operations of an address of the memory device may be mapped to multiple fields of the register. In some cases, in response to a first access operation performed on a first address of the memory device, the memory device may increment a first field and a second field of the register and, in response to a second access operation performed on a second address of the memory device, the memory device may increment the first field and a third field of the register. In some examples, the memory device may maintain a second register having a set of fields that each indicate a respective address for which an access occurrence satisfies a threshold.

  • Patent number: 12242743
Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are systems, devices, machine-readable mediums, and methods for customizing an in-memory versioning mode for each memory location according to a predicted access behavior to optimize memory device performance. Usage data in a previous time period may be utilized along with policy rules to determine whether to configure a particular memory address as a zero copy or direct copy mode. For example, memory addresses that are read frequently may be configured as direct copy mode to reduce the read latency penalty. This improves the functioning of the memory system by reducing read latency for memory addresses that are frequently read but written to less frequently, and reduces write latency for memory locations that are frequently written to, but not read as frequently.

  • Patent number: 12228393
Abstract: A tool, such as a tape measure, including a spring-based retraction system is shown. Various spring-based retraction system embodiments are configured to decrease the size occupied by the spring within the tape measure housing, which consequently reduces tape measure housing size providing a more compact tape measure. Various spring-based retraction system embodiments are configured to control retraction of the tape measure in a manner that reduces whip or otherwise controls tape blade retraction. Some retraction system embodiments utilize a reduction gear train, and others utilize a compression spring and a transmission system that converts rotational movement of the tape reel to axial movement, which compresses the spring.
