  • Publication number: 20190220960
Abstract: An image enhancing wildlife camera generates enhanced images of animal wildlife in low light conditions. The enhanced images contain details that are traditionally lost due to problematic lighting conditions. The image enhancing wildlife camera includes one or more infrared illuminators that activate upon detection of animal wildlife. An initial image is captured while the animal wildlife is illuminated with an infrared illuminator. The initial image is transformed into an enhanced image using one or more mappings that map color information in the initial image to one or more colors in the visible spectrum.

  • Patent number: 9969492
Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) can be configured for crop height estimation. In some examples, the UAV includes an aerial propulsion system, a laser scanner configured to face downwards while the UAV is in flight, and a control system. The laser scanner is configured to scan through a two-dimensional scan angle and is characterized by a maximum range. The control system causes the UAV to fly over an agricultural field and maintain, using the aerial propulsion system and the laser scanner, a distance between the UAV and a top of crops in the agricultural field to within a programmed range of distances based on the maximum range of the laser scanner. The control system determines, using range data from the laser scanner, a crop height from the top of the crops to the ground.

  • Publication number: 20110217477
Abstract: A process for coating a substrate comprising condensing a radiation curable material on a substrate and curing it using an electron flux 6? with energy between 6.5 eV and 300 eV. The electron flux 6? is directed at the substrate (2) either simultaneously or sequentially with delivery of the curable material (5?). Curing is preferably initiated spatially and temporally concurrently with delivery of the material to the substrate. The electron flux is preferably generated using a low pressure gas plasma source with a driving voltage negative relative to the local voltage conditions. The low pressure gas plasma (6?) is preferably magnetically enhanced and, for example, incorporates a magnetron.
