The lid or cap member has a skirt and the container member has an upstanding rim, each of which is of generally polygonal (preferably square) shape. Located on each of the facing walls on each side of the polygonal shape are inter-engageable projections. The inter-engaging surfaces of the projections run substantially in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the polygonal shape and are of relatively small angular extent about that axis. The material of one or both of the skirt and container portion is resiliently elastic. The closure may be assembled with an axial push, and removed by twisting.

An outer sleeve may also be provided over the outer writing element. The outer sleeve can function to hold various components of the outer writing element together, and to allow for clean and easy refill of the outer writing element, especially when the outer writing element is a nib-type writing element with a filler-type reservoir. The writing instrument is designed so that a user can replace the inner and/or outer writing elements when their respective writing medium have been expended.

The body is formed for releasable attachment to a container for collecting expressed milk and houses a deformable diaphragm (51) which is cyclicly moved by manually or electrically driven actuating lever (53, 54) connected thereto to generate and release cyclicly a negative pressure in the nipple region sufficient to stimulate the nipple area to cause lactation. The pump preferably includes valve (80) mounted in the body so that the negative pressure is created in the pump body only and not in the container for the expressed milk when connected thereto.

    Abstract: A container for ink for a writing instrument including a reservoir for containing ink, an ink feed for connection to a writing tip of a writing instrument for conveying ink from the reservoir to the writing tip, and a valve between the reservoir and the ink feed. The valve is subjected on one side to pressure in the ink feed and is subjected on another side to atmospheric pressure. The valve opens when pressure in the ink feed falls sufficiently below the atmospheric pressure acting on the valve, thereby allowing ink to flow from the reservoir to the ink feed.
