  • Patent number: 8276923
Abstract: A single handled two-wheeled gimbaled bucket dolly or hand truck is configured to lift, transport and pour the contents of a bucket or container with minimal operator effort. The dolly or hand truck may use a horizontal ā€œCā€ shaped frame cross member and two rigid vertical gimbaled columns to support a pivoting bucket or container. This apparatus allows the bucket to tilt a full 180 degrees on its horizontal axis in order to effortlessly dispense its contents and to transport the bucket across uneven terrain. A second gimbaled bucket or container holder can be combined into one unit allowing for lifting, transporting and pouring the contents of containers or buckets.

  • Patent number: 6367335
Abstract: A strain sensor is disclosed for example for use in a Bragg fiber grating, in which piezoelectric actuators are arranged to compress or extend the fiber, and a capacitance micrometer for measuring the strain on the fiber in a servo loop with the actuators to provide a tunable grating in which the selected wavelength is a unique and linear function of the control command parameter. The micrometer electrodes can be placed on opposing faces of ferrules on the fiber, or capacitance between a coating directly on the fiber and a reference electrode can be used.

  • Patent number: RE35049
Abstract: A multilayer polymeric film composite for use in the electrostatic recording process is disclosed. The film composite comprises an image receptive layer having a surface abrasivity of about 0.015 inch to about 0.085 inch and a surface .Iadd.Sheffield .Iaddend.roughness of about 30 to about 180 .[.cc of air/minute.]. (.Iadd.Sheffield Units).Iaddend., an electronically conductive layer and a supporting layer. A transport assisting layer can be coated on the side opposite to the imaging side to give a four layer film composite which provides the required friction and surface roughness to allow the film to be driven smoothly through the printing equipment. Control of the abrasivity and surface roughness of the image receptive layer is used to obtain excellent image quality. The film composite provides high image quality over a wide range of humidities and archival properties.
