Abstract: A cutlery device includes a blade with an attached handle. Two longitudinal edges of the rectangular blade include a sharpened edge and a non-sharpened spine on the opposite side. The blade has a rectangular fence extending substantially perpendicularly from one or both (opposite) sides of the spine, and extending to the distal end. In one form the fence curves around onto the distal end of the blade. A hole or aperture may be provided in the blade to allow transfer of prepared foods. The fence may be integral with the blade and spine, may be permanently secured to the blade, or may exist as a separate part that may be attached to and removed from the blade.

Abstract: A method using one or two inflatable balloon packs for the treatment of epistaxis (nosebleed) from any internal area of the nose. The balloon packing is adapted to be received in and apply pressure to all aspects of the nasal cavity on inflation with a suitable fluid. The anterior (forward) balloon packing has a channel extending between its front and rear aspects to allow passage of a second, posterior (rearward) balloon packing; said posterior packing is adapted to apply pressure to the nasopharynx upon inflation with a suitable fluid. Said method has a means of tensioning packing to continuously apply pressure necessary to control bleeding.

Abstract: A method using material such as plastic or any other fluid-proof, easily cleaned, and hygienic material to create a vessel to contain particulate litter or other means for the collection, management, and disposal of pet excrement. An upper vessel resting atop the lower to contain and conceal the contents of the lower vessel. A vertical flange or skirt extending from the bottom of the upper vessel far enough into the lower vessel to shield the sites where these vessels abut in order to contain feline urinary spray or other waste. Said downward flange or skirt to markedly reduce internal surfaces requiring cleansing and prevents the need for cleaning outside the vessels.

Abstract: A method using thin material such as plastic to create a flat food preparation surface of suitable size. Any durable, hygienic, and easily-cleaned substance may be utilized. The sheet is adapted by inclusion of perforations to serve has handles as well as longitudinal scoring or similar features to control site of folding. The perforations may be of different shapes and scoring of different lengths and positions in varying embodiments. Reinforcement with hinges at the scorings may be included in certain embodiments. Grasping and bringing together the handles folds the sheet into a predictable shape to allow foods to be easily directed to a recipient vessel of any dimension.

Abstract: An apparatus including a vessel open at the upper end to contain refuse or other material within an internal sack or bag type liner that the vessel holds open at the top. A lid that covers the opening to the vessel to conceal its contents with a lifting mechanism to open the lid in hands-free manner. A tab, flange, or other feature within the vessel to prevent the lining sack from coming into contact with and interfering with the function of the lid and its lifting mechanism.
