  • Publication number: 20240097346
Abstract: Methods for constructing multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) antenna arrays, may include: variable doping of the MWCNTs, forming light pipes with layers of variable dielectric glass, forming geometric diodes on full-wave rectified devices that propagate both electrons and holes, using clear conductive ground plans to form windows that can control a building's internal temperature, and generating multiple lithographic patterns with a single mask.

  • Patent number: 11937037
Abstract: A housing has a bud portion abutting an elongated stem portion. The bud portion is to fit within an ear. The bud portion has a primary sound outlet at its far end that is to be inserted into an outer ear canal, and abuts the stem portion at its near end. A speaker driver is inside the bud portion. Electronic circuitry inside the housing includes a wireless communications interface to receive audio content over-the-air and in response provides an audio signal to the speaker driver. A rechargeable battery as a power source for the electronic circuitry is located inside a cavity of the stem portion. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 7574597
Abstract: A system acquires information about communication among wired or wireless nodes [110, 210] in a network [100, 200] by intercepting chunks of data in the network by a wired or wireless tap [120, 220] located among the wired or wireless nodes [110, 210] in the network. Characteristic information [400] about the intercepted chunks of data may be obtained. The characteristic information may include times of arrival [410] of the chunks of data at the wired or wireless tap [120, 220] and identifiers of wired or wireless source nodes [420] that sent the chunks of data. At least one signal may be constructed to represent the characteristic information over time.

  • Patent number: 7359966
Abstract: A system processes communication signals in a network [100, 200]. The system may obtain time of arrival information for chunks of data in the network and construct a signal [410, 420] to represent the time of arrival information. The signal may consist of data that is non-uniformly spaced. The system may process the signal using a Lomb technique to obtain periodicity information [600, 800] about the signal.

  • Patent number: 7283475
Abstract: A network tap [120/220] monitors traffic transmissions in a network [100/200]. The tap records transmission time information [501] between data transmitted in the network. From the transmission time information, the tap calculates differences in transmission times [500], and assumes the differences in transmission times are distributed as fractional gaussian noise. Housdorff dimensions are calculated for the fractional gaussian noise distributions. The Housdorff dimensions are used to generate traffic analysis information for the network, even when the data transmitted on the network is encrypted.

  • Publication number: 20030091064
Abstract: A system (130) receives a covert message from a transmit device (110). The system (130) monitors the transmission of packets from the transmit device (110) to a receive device (120). The transmit device (110) transmits the packets using a transmission pattern that is unknown to the receive device (120). The system (130) receives a covert message from the monitored transmission using the transmission pattern.

  • Patent number: 6347366
Abstract: An embedded genetic allocator system uses genetic algorithms to generate trial solutions to the allocation of data buffers among various kinds of memory banks and measures the quality of each solution. The quality is determined through the use of a monitoring system that accurately measures application execution times while maintaining low intrusiveness in the software execution. Because the allocation process is highly automated and based upon accurate performance data derived from actual system operation, optimal solutions to the allocation problem are reached much more quickly and efficiently than can be done using current, largely manual, approaches.
