Abstract: A system and method for a travel route preference repository based on global positioning services (GPS). The system includes an information input member being configured to accept input information from users of the system. The input information is an evaluation of routes that the users have traversed. An information correlation member is communicatively connected via a network to the information input member. The information correlation member is configured to render a response pertaining to the input information such that users that have not entered an evaluation of the routes may have a current evaluation of the routes. An information access member is communicatively connected via the network to the information input member and the information correlation member. The information access member is configured to permit users of the system to have access to the response of the information correlation member.

The query statement further includes an aggregate operator defining at least one logical operation to be performed on a result returned from the target data source searches.

Abstract: A system and method for providing specified electronic commerce services to users, in particular e-Logistics services, services which are available in the marketplace from a variety of service providers whose electronic commerce systems are incompatible. There is provided a user/customer interface to the specified electronic commerce services, called a Common Alliance Interface, and a distinct interface for service providers of the specified electronic commerce services. Between the two interfaces is a business process layer which integrates one or more components of the specified electronic commerce services, these integrated components thereby being transparent to users. The service provider obtains access to users of the Common Alliance Interface by updating entries in a UDDI registry. There is further provided a service template which the service provider can modify to provide an adaptation layer between their legacy application and the business process layer.

Abstract: A method for defining and using customized bundled sets of products and services, associated with special characteristics such as discount pricing and industry personalized solutions, enhances revenue of web-based e-commerce applications. The consumer is provided the option of customizing the selection of individual marketable items into a bundle that best suits their need by implementing methodologies and tools that support the partitioning of a master product catalog into distinguished subsets called customizable solution bundles, that possess unique properties, business rules, and element characteristics. A customizable solution bundle presents significant advantages to both the vendor and to the consumer. For the vendor, this method allows the marketing organization to maximize profit and inventory control by assigning special price incentives to products and services contained within the solution bundle.

Abstract: A method of creating a data structure or map describing the I/O configuration and of verifying and resolving errors in configuration data in a system in which processors are coupled to one another or to device control units either directly or through a dynamic switch by way of links attached to link adapters of respective end units. Each pair of unit link adapters coupled to the respective ends of a link exchanges information identifying the unit and the adapter on that unit. A physical configuration map indicating the actual physical system configuration is constructed from such "nearest neighbor" information. This physical configuration map is compared with a logical configuration map indicating the user-defined logical system configuration to determine the existence of any discrepancies therebetween, and one map is conformed to the other as appropriate.
