  • Patent number: 11602871
Abstract: An example sheet guide devices comprises a housing and a guide member coupled to the housing. The housing is to receive a stack of sheets to staple. The guide member includes a cylinder shaft, a counterbalance component, and guide arm. The cylinder shaft is rotatable and disposed within the housing. The counterbalance component is disposed with the cylinder shaft to shift a center of gravity of the guide member in a first direction. The guide arm is disposed off-center from a central axis of the cylinder shaft in a second direction.

  • Publication number: 20210162569
Abstract: An example tool is provided that includes an outer housing and an inner housing. The inner housing includes a magnetic element and is structured to travel at least partially within the outer housing under bias of a biasing mechanism. In addition, the inner housing can travel from a retracted position to an extended position. In the extended position, the magnetic element abuts or at least partially occupies a void defined by the outer tip.

  • Patent number: 9592022
Abstract: A system and a method is disclosed for consistently and verifiably optimizing computed tomography (CT) radiation dose in the clinical setting. Mathematical models allow for estimation of patient size, image noise, size-specific radiation dose, and image quality targets based on digital image data and radiologists preferences. A prediction model estimates the scanner's tube current modulation and predicts image noise and size-specific radiation dose over a range of patient sizes. An optimization model calculates specific scanner settings needed to attain target image quality at the minimum radiation dose possible. An automated system processes the image and dose data according to the mathematical models and stores and displays the information, enabling verification and ongoing monitoring of consistent dose optimization.

  • Patent number: 9083863
Abstract: A method for aligning an image capture device for a print device includes providing a capture stage on which an object to be imaged by the capture device is placed. The capture stage includes a plurality of reference markers spaced apart by a predetermined distance. The reference markers are imaged with the capture device. A distance between the reference markers is measured. A correction difference between the measured distance of the reference markers and the predetermined distance is computed. An angular correction value based on the correction difference is computed. The angular position of the capture device relative to the capture stage is adjusted based upon the angular correction value.
