Publication number: 20240147243Abstract: An embodiment includes a method to increase the efficiency of security checkpoint operations. A security checkpoint kiosk serves as a Relying Party System (RPS). The RPS establishes a secure local connection between the RPS and a User Mobile-Identification-Credential Device (UMD). The RPS sends a user information request to the UMD, via the secure local connection, seeking release of user information associated with a Mobile Identification Credential (MIC). The RPS obtains authentication of the user information received in response to the user information request. The RPS retrieves user travel information based on the user information. The RPS determines that the user travel information matches the user information. When the user travel information matches the user information, the RPS approves the user to proceed past the security checkpoint kiosk.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 4, 2024Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: Haya Iris VILLANUEVA GAVIOLA, Gianpaolo FASOLI, Vinay GANESH, Irene M. GRAFF, Martijn Theo HARING, Ahmer A. KHAN, Franck Farian RAKOTOMALALA, Gordon Y. SCOTT, Ho Cheung CHUNG, Antonio ALLEN, Mayura Dhananjaya DESHPANDE, Thomas John MILLER, Christopher SHARP, David W. Publication number: 20110024051Abstract: An automated steel lamination stacking system for a transformer core. A computer controlled robot arm with a machine vision system locates each of a series of laminations formed by a core former. A hand with a pair of fingers disposed on the end of the robot arm sequentially grasps each of the laminations and transfers each lamination to a forming table which receives and shapes each lamination into a stack to form the desired transformer core. As the empty hand returns to retrieve the next lamination, an extended arm is activated to square the stack. If the preset number of laminations has been stacked and a desired weight has been reached, then the process is complete. Otherwise the stacking process continues. Because the laminations grow in size as the core is built, the stacking system adjusts the position of the fingers to grasp each lamination.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 18, 2010Publication date: February 3, 2011Inventors: Kyle L. Sanford, David B. Wood, Ronald J. Stahara, Kenneth W. White, Steve P. Lux, Todd F. Bartelt, Donald A. Gilmore, Nathaniel W. Maholland, Eric Rolf, Richard A. Sizemore, Kevin Smith

Publication number: 20080202937Abstract: A method for manufacturing an EMI shielding element from a sheet of polymer material includes forming the shielding element by vacuum- or pressure-molding. The formed element is then chemically etched to roughen its surface on a microscopic scale. The surface is subsequently treated with a catalyzing solution to enable the shielding element to be plated by electroless plating. A first metallic layer is deposited on the etched and catalyzed surface by electroless plating, and a second metallic layer is deposited on the first by electrolytic plating.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 19, 2004Publication date: August 28, 2008Inventors: Michael E. Juncker, David B. Wood, Charles R. Jeffreys

Patent number: 5739607Abstract: A machine tool spindle is supported at its spindle nose in a front, rolling element mechanical anti-friction thrust and radial support bearing means. The middle and rear end of the spindle is supported in a magnetic radial rear bearing and further supported at a generally mid-position of the spindle by magnetic radial mid bearing. The two magnetic radial bearings provide radial suspension of the spindle and permit the spindle to slide freely. A spindle flange is axially forced by a magnetic axial thrust bearing to vary the pre-load of the mechanical anti-friction thrust and radial support bearing.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 1996Date of Patent: April 14, 1998Assignee: Cincinnati Milacron Inc.Inventor: David B.
