Abstract: A method and a system are disclosed for providing a lottery ticket using a mobile phone, the method comprising receiving a ticket request sent by a user using the mobile phone, the ticket request comprising data associated with the lottery ticket and, if the user is allowed to purchase the lottery ticket, providing a lottery ticket comprising a first part and a second part, the first part for qualifying the user to an instant draw and the second part for qualifying the user to a scheduled draw wherein the scheduled draw is unrelated to the instant draw.

Abstract: A system and method for performing lottery ticket purchase with a mobile phone include receiving an SMS message sent by a user using the mobile phone, the SMS message including data associated with the lottery ticket to purchase; obtaining data associated with a position of the mobile phone, the data associated with a position of the mobile phone comprising an identification of a cell tower receiving the SMS message; determining if the user of said mobile phone is allowed to purchase the lottery ticket, the determining including checking if the identification of a cell tower receiving the SMS message matches one of a list of allowed cell towers and if the user is registered and performing the purchase if the identification of a cell tower receiving the SMS message matches one of a list of allowed cell towers.

Abstract: A wager-based gaming system provides a wager-based game playable by a player from a player computer on the table. The player computer receives player inputs, including wagers, from the player and transmits them to a game server communicably connected thereto and which applies game logic defining the game and defined in a game logic module, to generate game outputs, including an outcome for the game for the player, which is displayed on the player computer. The game logic module is selectable and configurable from a backend server and which contains player data for the player, including an account balance from which the wagers may be placed. A card reader connected to the player computer reads a portion of the player data is validated against the player data on the backend to authorize or deny access to the player data.

Abstract: A wager-based gaming system provides a wager based game to players in venues in which the game is playable by the players from gaming computing devices operated by venue operators, which also operate the venues, and which are connected to at least one server computing device. The game is played by each player by making deposits of currency to establish a machine balance for the gaming computing device upon which the player plays the game. The player makes wagers using the machine balance, plays the game, and may be eligible for payouts based on an outcome of the game. At the end of a predetermined payment period, a venue balance is calculated for each venue to divide a total rake between the venues while taking into account deposits of currency and withdrawals made for payouts by a venue.
