  • Patent number: 12556381
Abstract: Out-of-band quantum key distribution using cellular SMS can include receiving, from a user device, a client identifier that identifies the user device and a first key identifier that identifies a first key having a first key value that is a first quantumly generated random bit string. A second key that includes a second key value can be requested and received from the key service, the second key value including a second quantumly generated random bit string. The second key value can be provided to a short message service center for delivery to the user device. An operation can be performed on the first key value and the second key value to obtain a copy of a pre-shared key, which can be used when exchanging encrypted communications with the user device.

  • Publication number: 20250326399
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed to enable an adaptive vehicle advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) unit, which is also referred to as a “smart” ADAS. The smart ADAS unit transmits vehicle ADAS messages, which are received and aggregated by a remote computing system. The remote computing system may optionally include, in the aggregated data set, supplemental data such as weather information, traffic data, etc. The remote computing system identifies, from the aggregated data set, ADAS alert events and their corresponding locations, and uses predetermined rule sets to identify potential ADAS alert configuration settings that may be updated by vehicles in a service range. The ADAS configuration messages provide each vehicle with instructions regarding if, when, and how the ADAS configuration settings should be adjusted, which may comprise the adjustment of ADAS alert sensitivity settings to dynamically adjust the manner in which ADAS alerts are issued per each ADAS alert event.

  • Patent number: 8887344
Abstract: A sweeping device and method of manufacturing a silicone sweeping device. The sweeping device is made of silicone and includes: a silicone block with internal chassis; a plurality of downwardly silicone elongated bristles; and an upwardly projecting member containing a handle-receiving member with a cavity. The method of manufacturing a silicone sweeping device includes: providing a hard heat resistant chassis; providing a hard heat resistant cone with internal screw thread; drilling a hole into the center of the chassis; providing protective coating to the chassis; providing primer coating to the chassis; inserting the hard cone heat resistant tube as the handle receiving hole into the hole in the chassis; providing a mold including a mold cavity; placing the chassis into the mold cavity; processing the silicone in the mold into a final product; and applying secondary heat treatment in the oven.

  • Publication number: 20090151099
Abstract: A cloth floor washing implement wherein the cloth can be folded to enable squeeze-draining in the floor mop fashion namely with a strainer. The implement comprises a pair of arms (16a; 16b) pivotally connected to a slider (22). The arms are guided by respective slots (20c) and (20d). Driving the slider (22) along broom stick (12) will cause the spreading-apart or folding back of the arms. The washing cloth, preferably made of microfiber, is releasably attached to the distal ends of the arms.
