  • Patent number: 9851762
Abstract: A computing system that includes a computing device, the computing device comprising: an enclosure; a printed circuit board (‘PCB’) movably affixed to the enclosure; a force imparting component coupled to the PCB, the force imparting component configured to exert a force on the PCB when the computing device enclosure is inserted into a computing device receptacle.

  • Publication number: 20160025973
Abstract: A portable heads-up display device for deployment on the dashboard of a vehicle. The device includes a housing suitable for mounting to or placing on a surface, and containing system electronics and a projector. A curved high-gain reflective screen disposed on the housing rearward of the projector receives an image produced by the projector, and reflects that image to a semi-transparent curved combiner disposed near the front of the housing. A virtual image appears at the combiner that has a focal point in the distance beyond the combiner. One or more rear-facing sensors and the control electronics detect hand gestures by the driver, which controls the operation of the device in displaying images. The device mounts to a dashboard via a conformable and foot that adapts to the shape of the dashboard. Magnetic coupling between the housing and a puck element held in the foot facilitates removal and replacement of the device.

  • Patent number: 7190575
Abstract: A hard disk drive system includes a plurality of hard disk drive carriers and a hard disk drive chassis. Each of the plurality of hard disk drive carriers has a body and an ejector rotatably connected to the body. The ejector includes a first alignment member on a first side of the ejector and a second alignment member on a second side of the ejector. The second side of the ejector is opposite the first side of the ejector. The hard disk drive chassis includes a plurality of receiving slots for receiving the plurality of hard disk drive carriers. Two of the plurality of hard disk drive carriers may be fully inserted, next to each other, into the plurality of receiving slots.

  • Patent number: 6466448
Abstract: Riser printed circuit boards are retained relative to a motherboard to avoid lateral side-to-side movement and vertical separation from an edge connector on the motherboard. A horizontal portion of a retaining plate extends above an upper edge of the riser boards, and a resilient compressible gasket is connected to the horizontal portion. The resilient compressible gasket contacts and upper edge of the riser boards, and applies resilient force to retain the riser boards. The retaining plate also ducts cooling air over heat-sensitive components of the motherboard and increases the air flow rate over those components by reducing the cross-sectional size of the path through which the cooling air flows.

  • Patent number: 6233152
Abstract: An electronic system, such as a computer, having a housing with a door opening into an interior of the housing. An insertion mechanism is mounted on the door and includes a handle provided on an exterior side of the door and a driver portion provided on an interior side. The driver portion includes a rotatable latch driver attached to the handle and a rotatable latch follower engaging the latch driver through a set of gears. A movable mount is slideably mounted onto the door and a circuit board assembly is mounted onto the movable mount. After the door of the housing is closed, rotation of the handle causes rotation of the latch driver, which, in turn, causes rotation of the latch follower. The latch driver and follower engage the movable mount such that their rotation causes forward movement of the movable mount and the circuit board assembly.
