    Abstract: A resonator package includes a quartz resonator and a heating element within a sealed housing, wherein the heating element is thermally coupled to an external wall of the housing. The heated external wall of the housing is thermally coupled to a substrate to heat a local region of the substrate. The heated local region of the substrate thermally stabilizes an associated oscillator control circuit and heater control circuit which are external to the housing.
