  • Patent number: 12602654
Abstract: Examples provide an automatic item display reconfiguration guidance system providing sequential reconfiguration instructions presented to a user coordinated across multiple display devices in real-time as the modular item display is being reconfigured from an original item configuration to a new item configuration. A sequence of graphical instructions for removing a set of items, moving a set of items, and adding a set of new items to the modular item display are generated and presented to a user via a user interface (UI) on a user device and/or one or more shelf display device(s) on the modular item display in a substantially simultaneous manner. The graphical instructions including, color-coded indicators and/or images of the items, are presented to the user in real-time as items are removed, moved, or added in sequence enabling fast and efficient reconfiguration of items on the display with minimized expenditure of labor and reduced error rate.

  • Publication number: 20250044071
Abstract: Examples provide a shelf location detection system. A shelf is supported by a shelf support arm engaging a notch in a smart shelf support member having a stack of resistors in series within the interior of the shelf support member. A plug on the support arm removably couples to the notch. A sensor detects a change in voltage across at least one resistor in the resistor stack. A location of the shelf on the smart shelf support member is determined using the detected voltage change. A controller on the smart shelf support member transmits the location to a controller on each accessory device on the shelf. The shelf can further include a plurality of resistors connected in series. The accessory device detects changes in voltage through the plurality of resistors and generates an estimated position of the accessory device on the shelf using the change in voltage data.

  • Patent number: 12068594
Abstract: Examples provide an adjustable power shelf system. Electrical power is supplied to a power bus running through a shelf support railing. The railing includes a slots for engaging mounting brackets on a shelf. The shelf is removably attached to the railing via the mounting brackets. The mounting bracket includes a plug with a tab sized to fit within the slots when the shelf is mounted on the railing. The tab is guided into position to engage the power bus by a guide formed within nonconducting insulation within the hollow cavity of the shelf support railing. Power flows from the power bus through the tab to wiring on or within the shelf to power peripheral devices. The shelf receives power when it is mounted to the railing and disengages the power bus when removed from the shelf railing without alteration to electrical wiring providing power to peripheral devices.
