  • Patent number: 11059168
Abstract: An automatically positionable joint for a modular tooling assembly includes a first joint member; a second joint member that is rotatably connected to the first joint member; a motor for causing rotation of the first joint member with respect to the second joint member; and a first clutch that is movable between an engaged position in which the first clutch restrains rotation of the first joint member with respect to the second joint member and a disengaged position in which the first clutch permits rotation of the first joint member with respect to the second joint member.

  • Publication number: 20070174781
Abstract: A parameter visualization method and apparatus are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method includes processing a selection of a parameter based on an action associated with one parameter, algorithmically calculating compatibility of other parameters based on the selection, and simultaneously displaying at least one allowable parameter (e.g., of the other parameters) in a first visual state and displaying at least one excluded parameter (e.g., of the other parameters) in a second visual state. The parameter and the other parameters may be displayed in a graphical representation, and the graphical representation may be refreshed when another selection is processed based on an action (e.g., the action may a movement of a pointing device over the graphical representation of the parameter, a data input into an attribute field and/or a physical selection by the pointing device, etc.). The action may be associated with the at least one allowable parameter.

  • Patent number: 6532419
Abstract: A navigation system includes a multi-axis accelerometer which can be installed in the vehicle in any unknown orientation. The orientation of the axes of the accelerometer is automatically determined by the navigation system. The signals from the accelerometer are then used to propagate the position of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20020022924
Abstract: A vehicle navigation system and method for propagating a position of a vehicle utilizing a multiaxis accelerometer determines the pitch and roll of the vehicle without utilizing gyros and utilizes the calculated pitch and roll to propagate the position of the vehicle with the acceleration signals from the multiaxis accelerometer. This occurs in one of three situations (in order of complexity): 1) when the vehicle is not moving; 2) when the vehicle is moving and other speed and/or heading information is available and 3) when the vehicle is moving and other speed and/or heading information is not available.
