  • Patent number: 11150105
Abstract: The present general inventive concept relates to methods and systems to select and display information on an avionics display screen. The systems and methods allow for the selection and display of information using knobs to highlight and select the desired information for display, eliminating the need for a cursor function. The systems and methods also provide for multiple pages and/or multiple windows or “tiles” within these pages and/or windows simultaneously on a single screen of a display, with each window, page, and/or tile being fully controlled independently when selected. The present general inventive concept also relates to systems and methods to provide multiple cues on an electronic display system altitude tape to a pilot in advance and impending approach to a predefined altitude. The present general inventive concept also relates to systems and methods to employ variable resolution topographical data based on display range for an avionics navigation display.

  • Patent number: 9600228
Abstract: A system and method for static query generation and input, comprising a set of auto-complete and auto-suggest rules, based on a template derived from at least one of an initial user input and context, is used to elicit a more complete query from said user, said auto-complete and auto-suggest values being offered in the form of widgets that offer a visual indicia receptive for user interaction, and wherein depending on at least one of context and status and user input, more than one such widget may be offered concurrently.

  • Publication number: 20140372158
Abstract: The current subject matter relates to generation, modification, export, and/or import of decision trees, based on which optimal treatments (for example, offers) can be assigned to various records (for example, customers). A tree-generating application can receive constraints characterizing specifications for a decision tree desired by the user of the tree-generating application. The tree-generating application can generate a mathematical equation based on the constraints. The tree-generating application can receive, from a first database, historical data characterizing treatments provided to a plurality of representative customers having corresponding attributes. The tree-generating application can execute a simplex method of linear programming to search for the decision tree desired by the user from a plurality of decision trees stored in a second database stored in a second database. The tree-generating application can send the decision tree to a tree-using application.

  • Publication number: 20070077127
Abstract: Metal dock systems of the type wherein the side edges of metal decking pieces are coupled to one another and held between opposing stringers to create a substantially flush walking surface through the use of first and second coupling elements, each associated with a respective one of the decking side edges. The first coupling element including a lengthwise member with a partially cylindrical outer surface, and the second coupling element including a lengthwise cradle with a partially cylindrical inner surface. Using this configuration, the lengthwise member may be hinged into the lengthwise cradle to couple. The associated pieces of decking to one another while allowing a certain degree of pivoting therebetween.
