  • Patent number: 11763108
Abstract: Radio frequency identification discontinuity correction is provided by calculating a phase-time slope for a Radio Frequency Identifier (RFID) signal received from an RFID tag; estimating, based on the phase-time slope, a predicted phase reading for the RFID signal at a given time; and in response to detecting a phase discontinuity based on a difference between the predicted phase reading and an actual phase reading for the given time, adjusting a calculated distance to the RFID tag. The calculated distance may indicate that the RFID tag is inside of or outside of a designated zone, and that a motion of the RFID tag indicates travel towards or away from the designated zone, which may be used to add or remove an item associated with the RFID tag to an ongoing item list.

  • Publication number: 20220351220
Abstract: A method includes receiving, from a user, an unscheduled order to be fulfilled when a corresponding unplanned event is predicted to occur. The unscheduled order includes a plurality of items. The method also includes applying a machine learning model to an information feed to predict that the unplanned event will occur and, in response to determining that the unplanned event will occur, communicating the plurality of items to a store to purchase the plurality of items for the user.

  • Patent number: 10938890
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing the processing of information acquired by sensors within an environment are disclosed herein. According to an aspect, a system includes multiple sensors configured to acquire information about an environment. The system may also include computing devices that are each operatively connected to a respective one of the sensors. Further, each computing device may be configured to determine an object and/or action within the environment based on the acquired information. The system may include a processing manager configured to determine whether a first computing device among the plurality of computing devices does not have predetermined resource availability for determining the object and/or action. The processing manager may control the first computing device to communicate the information to a second computing device for determining the one of the object and action in response to determining that the first computing device does not have the predetermined resource availability.
