  • Publication number: 20230169429
Abstract: A repurposing system tracks tracking demand information associated with various types of used hardware components and also tracks characteristics of hardware inventory in use at one or more facilities. The tracked characteristics of the hardware inventory are used to generate a forecasted supply of used hardware components expected to arrive at a repurposing facility, and the tracked demand information is used to determine a collection of route options available to each used hardware component in the forecasted supply. A carbon equivalent savings is computed in association with each route option available to each hardware component and used to dynamically select one of the available route options for each hardware component.

  • Publication number: 20220108252
Abstract: In non-limiting examples of the present disclosure, systems, methods and devices for generating sustainability insights and recommendations are presented. An asset disposition service may maintain a library comprising a plurality of software objects. Each of the software objects may correspond to a hardware computing asset and each software object may have a plurality of attributes associated with it related to the physical makeup of the asset, the software executed by the asset, regulatory issues associated with the asset, or contractual terms associated with the asset. The asset disposition service may apply various algorithms and/or machine learning models to one or more attributes of the software objects to generate sustainability insights and recommendations that can be utilized to identify best disposition paths for assets and for meeting sustainability goals.

  • Patent number: 11174905
Abstract: A transmission for a machine is disclosed. The transmission may comprise a first torque path for transmission of torque from an input shaft to an output shaft, and a single clutch element along the first torque path. The transmission may further comprise a clutch actuator configured to actuate engagement of the clutch element, and a clutch pressure control (CPC) valve configured to permit a flow of hydraulic fluid to the clutch actuator when in an open position to cause the clutch actuator to actuate engagement of the clutch element. The transmission may further comprise a FMR valve having a failure position obstructing flow of the hydraulic fluid from the CPC valve to the clutch actuator when the CPC valve is in the open position. The FMR valve actuated by pilot pressure from a CPC valve that controls actuation of other clutch elements that are not on the first torque path.

  • Patent number: 9630820
Abstract: An automatic lift stand and case. The automatic lift stand and case includes a body having an opening and containing a platform. A latch mechanism is configured to maintain the platform in a lower position within the body. One or more resilient stored force devices are configured to move the platform from the lower position towards the opening of the body when the latch mechanism is released. One or more springs are pivotably coupled to the body and the platform, the length of each spring is substantially parallel to the platform when the platform is in the lower position and pivots to lift the platform as the platform is lifted towards the opening of the body by the one or more resilient stored force devices. Each spring is configured to lift the platform to a higher position when the resilient stored force devices pull the platform towards the opening of the body.

  • Publication number: 20070127528
Abstract: Apparatus, and associated method, by which to synchronize nodes in a wireless mesh network, such as a fixed broadband network or a moving ad-hoc mesh network. Time stamps are added to data packets at a reference node defined pursuant to a pseudo hierarchy. The data packets are communicated by the reference node to a receiving node. The time stamp information is extracted therefrom, to provide an indication of a time reference value from which the time stamp information is formed. Registers are maintained at the nodes with updated values of the timing information, used in time synchronization between the nodes of the mesh network.

  • Patent number: 7184413
Abstract: A communication protocol that provides link-level and media access control (MAC) level functions for wireless (e.g., ad-hoc) networks and is robust to mobility or other dynamics, and for scaling to dense networks. In a mobile or otherwise dynamic network, any control-packet collisions will be only temporary and fair. In a dense network, the network performance degrades gracefully, ensuring that only a certain percentage of the common channel is consumed with control packets. The integrated protocol allows packets (e.g., data scheduling control packets) to be scheduled in a collision-free and predictable manner (known to all neighbors), multicast packets can be reliably scheduled, as well as streams of delay- or delay-jitter-sensitive traffic. Further, using an optional network code, the scheduling of control packets can appear to observers to be randomized.

  • Patent number: 4949820
Abstract: A vehicle creep control system which has: a speed transducer arrangement coupled to the vehicle's speedometer cable or the like, which provides an active output whenever the vehicle stops; an accelerator switch connected to the accelerator pedal, which has an active output whenever the driver's foot depresses the accelerator pedal; a latching circuit with a set input connected to the speed transducer arrangement and a clear input connected to the accelerator switch; a first delay circuit connected to the output of the latching circuit, such that when the latching circuit is set due to the vehicle slowing down to the given low speed value, a first set signal is connected to the delay circuit, which in turn produces a delayed output, after a given first delay time, so that the brakes are actuated and hold the vehicle.
