Publication number: 20250122713Abstract: A floor drain system is provided comprising a coupler piece, extension pieces, end caps, and a drain cover. The drain coupler piece includes a connector for connection to a drain line and receivers for engagement with drain extension pieces, forming a drain main body. The main body includes opposed side walls and a floor forming a channel for liquid to flow and drain. Each side wall includes a lip extending inward and along the length of the drain and configured for mounting a grate. End caps are configured for sealing ends of the drain. Alternatively, a light box end piece can be utilized to seal an end of the drain while providing a housing and access point for drain lighting. Tile can be installed overlaying at least part of a top surface of each side wall or abutting the drain. The drain extension pieces can be cut to size.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 11, 2024Publication date: April 17, 2025Inventor: DAVID BLAMBLE

Publication number: 20250034855Abstract: A tile drain and method of installing a tile drain is provided. The tile drain includes a drain body and a drain cover. The drain body defines a top opening, top weep apertures, and bottom weep apertures. The top opening receives the drain cover and serves as the primary drain for the tile drain. The top weep apertures are positioned below a top layer, such as a tile layer, of the base so as to receive fluid positioned between the top layer and a top waterproofing layer of the base. The sub weep apertures are positioned below the top waterproofing layer of the base so as to receive fluid positioned between the top waterproofing layer and a bottom waterproofing layer of the base. The drain body is encapsulated within the base, but the drain cover is adjustable relative to, and removable from, the drain body.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 14, 2024Publication date: January 30, 2025Inventor: DAVID BLAMBLE

Publication number: 20240392547Abstract: A tile drain system and method are provided. The tile drain system is configured for installation at the base of a wall within a tile basin and includes a drain body made up of a main drain piece, drain extension piece(s), end cap(s), and magnet holder(s); a grate; and magnets. In embodiments, the tile drain system can be easily cut down to size. The main drain piece includes an opening for engagement with a wastewater drain line. An upper portion of the drain body comprises a shelf along the length of the drain. The shelf is configured to receive and support wall board. A portion of the drain body is configured to be overlayed by tile(s) of a tile wall. The tile drain system further includes magnet holder(s) configured to house magnet(s) which magnetically interact with the drain grate.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 24, 2024Publication date: November 28, 2024Inventor: DAVID BLAMBLE
