  • Publication number: 20240119776
Abstract: A system evaluates currency in an area using image processing. In some examples, the system receives an image of an area from an image sensor, processes the image to identify at least one item of currency in the area, determine a value of the currency irrespective of validity, and counts the currency. In various examples, the system receives an image of an area from an image sensor; processes the image to identify at least one item of currency in the area; determines whether the currency has an error condition; and when the currency is determined to have the error condition, provides output on the error condition. In a number of examples, the system receives an image of an area from an image sensor; processes the image to identify at least one item of currency in the area; determines whether the currency is valid; and when the currency is determined to be suspect, provides output on the currency.

  • Patent number: 11128116
Abstract: Systems for testing a protective arrangement for an electric power delivery system without disconnecting merging units from a protective device are disclosed herein. For example, an intelligent electronic device (IED) may receive, via a monitoring port, one or more operating measurements of an electrical characteristic of the power delivery system while in an operating mode. The IED may change from operating in the operating mode to operating in a test mode. In the test mode, the IED may receive, via a test port, one or more test measurements that represent measurements of the electrical characteristic. The IED may provide test results based at least in part on the one or more test measurements.

  • Publication number: 20200080979
Abstract: Highly quantitative methods for determining the concentration of residual phase transfer catalysts (PTCs) in radiotracer or radiopharmaceutical doses are described. The methods comprise mixing aliquots of the doses that can contain residual PTCs with a sodium and/or potassium salt; extracting a residual PTC/salt complex into an organic phase; and detecting the amount of PTC/salt complex in the organic phase. The detecting can involve visual colorimetry or measuring the absorbance or transmittance of the organic phase when the sodium and/or potassium salt comprises a chromophoric ion, or measuring the resistance of the organic phase. Also described are devices for use in performing the methods.

  • Patent number: 10043167
Abstract: Mobile POS techniques are presented. A POS interface is configured and distributed to a mobile device over a network connection. The POS interface is a self-contained retail transaction system for a retailer. The mobile device is configured to execute the retail transaction system providing remote network or cloud-based services for data retrieval, and data storage to the retail transaction system on the mobile device. One or more retail transactions are processed on the mobile device via the POS interface.

  • Patent number: 9697498
Abstract: Systems, methods and a machine-readable media are described herein for a salary range engine to identify at least one attribute of a first member profile from a plurality of member profiles of a social networking service. The salary range engine correlates the at least one attribute with respect to at least a portion of trained salary data in a trained salary data repository. The salary range engine infers a target salary range based on a correlation between the at least one attribute of the first member profile and at least the portion of the trained salary data.

  • Publication number: 20170034305
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing overlapping taxonomies, in accordance with some embodiments, are disclosed. The system stories a set of taxonomic grouping rules for organizing members based on stored member data and receives a request for grouping information for a particular member. Using stored member data for the particular member, the system classifies the particular member into an atomic taxonomic group in the plurality of the atomic taxonomic groups. The system, based on the atomic taxonomic group that the particular member is classified into, automatically determines the requested grouping information. The system then transmits the requested grouping information to a requesting computer system.

  • Patent number: 9396865
Abstract: An auxiliary winding circuit board includes one or more auxiliary conductive windings. The auxiliary winding circuit board is positioned at an axial end of a bobbin, and a core leg extends through an opening in the auxiliary winding circuit board. A main conductive winding is positioned on the bobbin. The auxiliary winding disposed on the auxiliary printed circuit board has enhanced voltage-isolation from the main winding positioned on the bobbin, allowing both a high-voltage main winding and a low-voltage auxiliary winding to be located on one magnetic component. The magnetic component is configured for mounting on a printed circuit board for an electronic device such as a power supply. A modular magnetic component apparatus includes a bobbin with main winding assembly and multiple auxiliary winding circuit boards that may be interchangeably mounted between the bobbin and core for desired applications.

  • Patent number: 9293246
Abstract: A component printed circuit board is provided between a magnetic component and a main printed circuit board. The magnetic component includes a device such as an inductor or transformer and includes a bobbin for winding one or more coils and a magnetically permeable core. Terminal pins protrude from the bobbin toward the main printed circuit board and provide electrical connection between the magnetic component and the main printed circuit board. The component printed circuit board includes component vias positioned to accept one or more of the terminal pins allowing the terminal pins to be used for electrical connection to both the component printed circuit board and the main printed circuit board. One or more component traces or shielding layers are disposed on the component printed circuit board. Each component trace provides an electrical connection between two or more terminal pins passing through the component printed circuit board.
