Abstract: A gaming system includes a server and multiple player devices each associated with a player. A set of symbols includes non-termination symbols and termination symbols. The server receives wagers based on predefined conditions, such as the number or specific combination of non-termination symbols drawn before a termination symbol appears. The server sequentially draws and displays symbols to active players, determining outcomes according to the wager type. For wagers based on the number of symbols drawn before a termination symbol appears, players may elect to cash out before each subsequent draw until the predefined number is reached. When a termination symbol is drawn, the server determines winners and losers based on the active wager type and credits player accounts accordingly. In one embodiment, the symbols correspond to a deck of playing cards with added Joker cards serving as termination symbols.

Abstract: A gaming system includes a server and series of player devices each connected to a player and a set of symbols that includes non-termination symbols and termination symbols. The server requests a wager from each player where is the wager is either manually controlled, based on the number of non-termination symbols that are drawn before a termination symbol is drawn, based on the number of symbols drawn by when a termination symbol is drawn, or based on a specific non-termination symbol or combination of non-termination symbols being drawn before a termination symbol is drawn. After the server collects the wager, the server sequentially draws and displays a symbol from the set of symbols to all active players.

Each match is between two participants in the tournament in which one half of the participants are eliminated in each round. The entrant device receives predictions before a start of a first match. The predictions are entered sequentially based on a predicted final rank of the participants, from first place to nth place. After each selection, a next selection is limited to participants from a predetermined valid position in the tournament. After receiving results of the set of matches, a score of the predictions is made based upon the results, and if the score exceeds a threshold, the predictions are declared a winning entry.

In redraw, after the player sees the first set of cards/symbols, the player is offered some redraw value (e.g., points, money) to get a new first set of cards/symbols, that value either added to the player's credit or subtracted from the player's credit). In surrender, after the player sees the first set of cards/symbols, the player is offered some surrender value based upon the value of the cards/symbols to surrender their hand, that value being added to the player's credit. If the player accepts the surrender value the hand is over.

The play continues with randomly selecting a second set of cards from the deck and evaluating the best hand from the first set of cards combined with the second set of cards and determining a payout value by looking up that best hand in a payout table and awarding the payout value to the player. In some embodiments, the redraw offer is a fixed amount that is less than the wager amount.

The player is given a choice to accept the present value or receive the second number of cards to complete the hand and either wins or loses based on the hand with respect to the payout schedule.

The server generates a random schedule of games then requests a first wager from each participant device. Each participant device makes a selection of a subset of players that are associated with each game of the schedule of games. Next, the server simulates an outcome of the random schedule of games and each selection of a subset of players is evaluated by the server to generate a score based upon the subset of players for each participant and a payout is made based upon each score.
