  • Publication number: 20240097468
Abstract: A portable power supply including an alternating current (“AC”) power input interface, an AC power output interface, a battery core, a charger electrically connected to the AC power input interface, an inverter configured to output AC power to the AC power output interface, and a controller configured to, when the charger is active and AC power is requested at the AC power output interface, control the charger to provide direct current (“DC”) power to the inverter. When the charger is active, the battery core selectively outputs or receives power based on a power consumption of the inverter.

  • Publication number: 20240072554
Abstract: A portable power supply includes a housing, a control area network (“CAN”) bus, a battery core configured to be charged by a battery core charger, a battery pack charger connected to the battery core and to the CAN bus via a galvanic isolation barrier. A battery management system is connected to the battery pack charger via the CAN bus and a power line and configured to control an operation of the battery pack charger and the battery core charger. A battery pack detection circuit is connected to one or more charging ports of the one or more charging modules. The battery pack detection circuit configured to draw current from a battery pack and produce a battery pack detection signal at battery management system via a galvanic isolation device.

  • Publication number: 20240055891
Abstract: A portable power supply including an alternating current (“AC) power input interface, an AC power output interface, and a battery core. The power supply further includes at least one switch. The at least one switch is electrically connected between the AC power input interface and the battery core. The power supply also includes a controller configured to control the at least one switch to selectively provide an AC power output to the AC power output interface based on power received from either the AC power input interface or the battery core.

  • Publication number: 20230318316
Abstract: A portable power supply for charging power tool battery packs. The portable power supply includes a battery core including a plurality of battery cells and a converter, a first modular charger block received in a first charging slot and connected to a first charging port, a second modular charger block received in a second charging slot and connected to a second charging port and a third charging port, and a controller including an electronic processor. The controller is configured to determine that a first battery pack is received by the first charging port, determine that a device is received by the second charging port, determine a first characteristic of the first battery pack, and provide a first current to the first battery pack based on the first characteristic and a second current to the second battery pack based on the device being received by the second charging port.
