Abstract: A self-powered hot water heater capable of heating water without external electricity is disclosed. The heater device includes an insulated, sealed housing, preferably cuboidal, with inlet and outlet ports for flow of water. A magnetic paddle wheel is disposed within the housing and rotates by water inflow. The wheel is equipped with outwardly extending paddles and a central magnetic core that generates a magnetic field. When the magnetic field is cut through by the paddles, voltage is induced in windings through electromagnetic induction. A copper tubing inside the housing is wrapped in resistance wire and is connected to the windings. The tubing uses the induced voltage to heat water as the water moves from the inlet port to the outlet port. The system also includes a voltage controller that converts AC to DC and features an automatic cut-off to prevent overheating.

This enables a PCB strip to be broken at designated perforations in the field in order to accommodate pipes or fixtures that require formation of a gap in the rack array. The entire length and width of an array can be sized in the field. A plurality of PCB arrays can be serially chained together with the system. A chain of PCB strips is snapped into clips, which in turn snap into rails that are fastened to a surface. The mounting system includes various types of clips, such as end clips, clips for different LEE patterns on the PCBs, and mounting clips to secure the rails to a surface.

Abstract: There is described herein a method for predicting response to anti-PD1 based therapy in a subject with cancer, the method comprising: providing a sample of peripheral blood from the subject; adding an IFN-I to the sample; assessing T-cell response to IFN-I stimulation in the peripheral blood sample by measuring the expression of IFN-I stimulated genes; and predicting a better outcome in response to anti-PD1 therapy if the assessment in the previous step indicates T-cell resistance to IFN-I stimulation and predicting a poorer outcome in response to anti-PD1 therapy if the assessment step indicates T-cell responsiveness to IFN-I stimulation.

A computer system, included within the excimer laser system, is used to determine whether to resupply the laser chamber with halogen gas from the first and/or second cylinders, or to entirely flush out the gas contents of the laser chamber, and to resupply the flushed gas chamber with gas sourced from the first and/or second cylinders.

The optical matrix includes a plurality of at least one of absorptive, reflective and/or partially transmissive regions or arrays of perforations that each permits a different percentage of light to be delivered to an individual's skin. Jigs can be included to arrange a plurality of varying exposures to be placed on the patient's skin. An assessment can then be made as to the maximum tolerable dose of phototherapy that can be applied to the individual's skin in order to place a skin condition into remission.

A tone mapping is applied to the mapped light levels to generate corresponding display light levels to be represented in display images. The display images may be rendered on a target display.
