  • Publication number: 20240121890
Abstract: A structure of a circuitry substrate for securing an area from tampering is disclosed. The structure includes a circuitry substrate with at least one of a top tamper enclosure and a bottom tamper enclosure covering a component in a protected area of the circuitry substrate. The top and bottom tamper enclosures are adhesively bonded to a surface of the circuitry substrate, and a tear initiation site is added to a side of the perimeter of circuitry substrate bordering the protected area that includes at least one tamper enclosure, such that the tear initiation site is located and configured to enable propagation of a delamination of at least one internal layer of the circuitry substrate and a severing of a security circuit when a removal force is applied to the at least one of the top tamper enclosure and the bottom tamper enclosure.

  • Publication number: 20240098882
Abstract: An electronic component includes a first trace configured to transmit a first signal and a second trace configured to transmit a second signal. The electronic component further includes a layer of conductive material separated from the first and second traces by a layer of insulative material. The electronic component further includes a first vertical wall formed in direct contact with the layer of conductive material. The electronic component further includes a second vertical wall formed in direct contact with the layer of conductive material. The second vertical wall is separated from the first vertical wall by a void, and the void extends between the first trace and the second trace.

  • Patent number: 11547423
Abstract: A compression assembly for a medical tourniquet comprises a strap, a windlass and a buckle assembly and employs a retainer which retains the windlass upon rotation to apply pressure to a limb. The retainer has a pair of C-shaped portions which retain the windlass and a cross piece which is captured by a mounting strip. The buckle assembly preferably comprises a pair of parallel bars, one of which mounts a clasp which engageably retains a D-shaped ring. The strap is pulled through the D-shaped ring and secured in a taut engagement about a limb. The tourniquet is cooperatively configured so that only a relatively small additional rotation of the windlass is typically required to apply the final occluding pressure.

  • Patent number: 9376065
Abstract: An anchor for releasably securing a bicycle through-axle, that is installed in a wheelless front fork of a bicycle, to a load carrier. The anchor is made up of an anchor body having a through-axle receiving space for receiving a bicycle through-axle therein. The anchor additionally has a movable wedge located within the anchor body and transitionable between a receiving configuration in which an interior of the receiving space is expanded for insertably receiving a bicycle through-axle therein, and a secured configuration in which the movable wedge is in lateral abutting engagement with a bicycle through-axle received within the interior of the receiving space.

  • Publication number: 20050245428
Abstract: Hydroscopic polymer gels can be formed by applying a polymer to a surface and allowing water to be sequestered from the atmosphere into the polymer. The polymer gels are formed using methods and compositions employing water soluble or water dispersible copolymers having: (i) a first monomer that is acidic and is capable of forming an anionic charge in the composition; (ii) a second monomer that is amphipathic; (iii) optionally, a third monomer that is hydrophobic; and (iv) optionally, a fourth monomer that that has a permanent cationic charge or that is capable of forming a cationic charge on protonation. The polymer gels are particularly substantive and effective at modifying surfaces such as glass and hydrophobic polymeric substrates to provide soap scum and soil resistance, and easier next time cleaning benefits.

  • Publication number: 20050130870
Abstract: Incorporating dirt-attracting polycationic polymers, such as polyethyleneimines, into cleaning wipes, mop pads, and similar substrates, improves dirt pick-up and retards redeposition of the dirt back onto the cleaned surface. The polymers can be incorporated directly into the non-woven substrates or they can be formulated with a cleaning composition for use with the substrate. The substrate containing the dirt-attracting polycationic polymers can be employed to clean hard and soft surfaces. The presence of the dirt-attracting polycationic polymers also facilitates biocide release from the substrates.
