  • Patent number: 11477704
Abstract: Provided is a method for determining access permission for a beamforming computing device communicating with a beamforming transceiver. The method includes obtaining, at an inter-zone sensor, location information from the beamforming computing device, wherein the inter-zone sensor is configured to monitor a location of the beamforming computing device; determining, by the inter-zone sensor, the location for the beamforming computing device based on the location information as the beamforming computing device nears a boundary between a first access zone and a second access zone; providing, by the inter-zone sensor, the location to a central control system; obtaining, by the inter-zone sensor, a command by the central control system that instructs the inter-zone sensor to communicate access instructions to a beamforming transceiver in the second access zone; and providing the access instructions to the beamforming transceiver.

  • Patent number: 10932167
Abstract: Provided is a method for determining access permission for a beamforming computing device communicating with a beamforming transceiver. The method includes obtaining, at a central control system, location information from an inter-zone sensor, wherein the inter-zone sensor is configured to monitor and determine a location for the beamforming computing device as the beamforming computing device nears a boundary between a first access zone and a second access zone; accessing, by a storage device of the central control system, a rule to determine whether the beamforming computing device is permitted to operate in the second access zone; determining whether the beamforming computing device is permitted to operate in the second access zone based on the rule; and executing, by a rules engine of the central control system, a first command to the inter-zone sensor to instruct a beamforming transceiver in the second zone to initiate communication with the beamforming computing device.

  • Patent number: 10112770
Abstract: Method and apparatus for cribbing a floating roof included in a storage tank whereby a first and a first opposite force are applied between a floor in the storage tank and an internal surface of the floating roof. An additional set of forces are also provided and are constrained according to the first and first opposite force, not only in magnitude, but in position. By constraining these forces to be applied orthogonally to the floating roof, horizontal shear forces can be resisted thus reducing the likelihood of failure of a cribbing unit.

  • Patent number: 9259332
Abstract: An improved prosthetic device with a vacuum system for maintaining a negative pressure seal between the socket and the residual limb. The vacuum system includes a vacuum surge chamber which maintains seal vacuum and increases battery life. The system is small, lightweight, and concealable within the prosthetic device so that it neither impedes use of the device nor detracts from a cosmetically accurate limb.

  • Publication number: 20130041379
Abstract: A rongeur including a shaft having a foot plate, a cutting slide, a breach extending between the foot plate and the cutting slide and a handle assembly for moving the cutting slide along the shaft. The cutting slide includes a pair of tracking arms arranged about a distal end of the cutting slide and a third tracking arm arranged about the proximal end thereof. The tracking arms are received within corresponding tracking slots in the shaft when the rongeur is in a closed position. The tracking arms are disengaged from the tracking slots by rotating the cutting slide about a pivot axis that extends parallel to the length of the shaft thereby placing the rongeur in an open position. To prevent inadvertent disengagement of the tracking arms from the tracking slots, a trigger assembly is provided which arrests proximal movement of the cutting slide.
