  • Patent number: 10853515
Abstract: A method and system for securely storing and accessing sensitive user data (e.g., personally identifying information or PII) is described. In an aspect, PII is divided into a plurality of separately stored data stores based on what type or field of PII are collected. Each piece of PII data or PII datum is associated with a unique code so as to form data pairs comprising the PII datum and the unique code associated with that PII datum. A tumbler data structure allows secure association of the unique codes for the PII data for each user. Once the tumbler data structure is unlocked, a provider can search and access the PII data of its users.

  • Patent number: 8370195
Abstract: Methods and systems for hosting business and other e-commerce application services are provided which provide secure shared computing resources to multiple instances of e-commerce or other business applications. The shared computing resources are dynamically allocated among the instances of the applications, and the instances of the applications are logically separated from one another to provide additional security.

  • Publication number: 20100193564
Abstract: An apparatus and method for adjusting the handle position of a pneumatic fastener handle. The pneumatic fastener includes a base, a main body, and a magazine for carrying fastening members. The main body and magazine are fixed to the base. A pneumatic inlet is mounted onto the main body. A handle assembly is mounted on the main body of the pneumatic fastener. The handle assembly includes a housing having a hollow recessed area. The housing can have an aperture through a lateral side configured to receive a retaining member. A handle extends partially within the housing and is configured to move between at least a first position and a second position, different from the first position. When the handle is in a desired position, the retaining member secures the handle in place within the housing.

  • Patent number: 7086813
Abstract: A “snap-in” bit chuck assembly for a rotary hand or powered tool, includes an elongated body having a hex shank at its rearward end, an elongated retraction collar slidably disposed on the body, and an outer retaining collar fixed to the forward end of the body. The body has a coaxial hex socket formed therein to allow a reversible tool to be inserted thereinto. A slot is formed in the body, between the outer surface of the body and the internal hex socket. A coil spring surrounds the body, inside the retraction collar, and normally biases the retraction collar forwardly and biases a retaining clip toward the bottom of the angular slot. The retaining clip slides outwardly in the angular slot, against the bias of the coil spring, as the reversible tool is inserted, where a recess on the reversible tool is engaged and retained by the clip. The tool is removed by sliding the retraction collar rearwardly, to compress the coil spring and allow the retaining clip to retract back up the slot.

  • Publication number: 20020083124
Abstract: Server systems have distributed file systems that provides services for loading, staging, distributing and delivering streamed media content. The file system may be remotely accessible through a web browser, or other client application. The file system described herein can allow a customer of the hosting server to access and control the web site files from a remote location, and manipulate and manage the files stored on the host site, to configure the site as desired. To this end, the distributed file system provides a process for allowing a user to upload streaming media content from a client site to the host, or to another location accessible by the file system. A staging process allows the user to set or adjust meta-data characteristics of the uploaded media asset, and a distribution process is capable of replicating the media asset and distributing the replicated versions of that asset across the data network.

  • Patent number: 6394715
Abstract: A tool holder for releasably coupling a bit with a non-circular outer connector surface to a rotary driver. The tool holder includes a socket and a retaining mechanism coupled to the socket and operable in a retaining mode and a released mode. The socket includes a forward end with an opening extending rearwardly from the forward end. The opening also includes a non-circular cross-section adapted to receive the outer connector surface of the bit to couple the bit for rotation with the socket. The retaining mechanism is adapted to permit disposable of the bit into an operative position within the opening and to prevent axial movement of the bit out of its operative position when the retaining mechanism is in its retaining mode. The retaining mechanism is further adapted to permit axial displacement of the bit out of its operative position when the retaining mechanism is in its released mode.

  • Patent number: 6378402
Abstract: The present invention is generally directed to a hand held tool having a handle chassis with a first end, a second end, and a bore extending axially between the first and second ends. A sleeve having a first end, a second end, as well as a drive aperture extending from the first sleeve end toward the second sleeve end is disposed in the bore and fixed to the handle chassis. The sleeve also has a storage cavity that extends from the second sleeve toward the first sleeve end and a corridor extending transverse to the storage cavity. A torque bar is connectable to the sleeve in an operative position disposed in the corridor and a stowed position disposed in the storage cavity.
