    Abstract: This invention relates to a composition for removal of algae, marine residue, marine vegetation, and stains on surfaces and resulting from the immersion of such surfaces in natural bodies of water comprising from about 5 to 20 parts by weight of an acid selected from oxalic, citric, phosphoric, or mixtures thereof dissolved in a solution comprising from about 10 to 20 parts by weight of a C.sub.1 to C.sub.3 alkanol and 80 to 90 parts by weight of water and to the method of cleaning such surfaces utilizing said composition.
