  • Patent number: 10704456
Abstract: A fluid management system for a cooling module of a vehicle air conditioning system. The cooling module includes a first heat exchanger in fluid communication with a liquid cooling system of the vehicle and a second heat exchanger disposed upstream of the first heat exchanger and in fluid communication with the vehicle air conditioning system, wherein the fluid management system minimizes an inlet fluid temperature of the second heat exchanger of the cooling module.

  • Patent number: 6997143
Abstract: An integrated heat exchange and fluid control device is provided having an inlet, a valve, a heat exchange section in fluid connection with the valve, a bypass section in fluid connection with the valve, and an outlet section in fluid communication with the bypass section and the heat exchange section. The valve is configured to distribute flow of the coolant into the heat exchange system and/or the bypass section. In the heat exchange sections, coolant is substantially cooled by a second fluid or airflow. In the bypass section, the coolant is substantially prevented from being cooled by the second fluid or airflow.

  • Patent number: 5387016
Abstract: A connector for joining together a pair of fluid carrying hose members in an automotive vehicle is disclosed. The connector includes a tubular body having a first end, a second end, and a shoulder interposed therebetween, the first end including a plurality of angled barbs projecting from an outer surface thereof. The connector also includes a tubular liner press-fit into the first end of the body and a generally cylindrical, cup-shaped collar surrounding the outer surface of the first end of the body. A roll formed beadlock is formed against an interior surface of the collar to prevent axial displacement of the collar along the body of the connector. A method for making such a connector is also disclosed.
