  • Patent number: 8147240
Abstract: A gas burner assembly includes a first sheet, a second sheet, and a conduit. The first sheet has an inner face, an outer face, an upper portion, and a lower portion. The second sheet also has an inner face, an outer face, an upper portion and a lower portion. The first and second sheets are secured relative to one another such that the first and second sheets are separated by a gap that defines a manifold between the inner faces of the first and second sheets with an elongate opening between the upper portions of the first and second sheets, the opening forming an outlet from the manifold. The conduit is in communication with the manifold, the conduit being adapted for connection to a source of gas.

  • Patent number: 7726300
Abstract: A fireplace including a backlighting system. The backlighting system can be positioned in a back portion of the bottom panel of the fireplace. The backlighting system includes at least one light source to shine light upon the components of the fireplace. For example, the light source can be positioned to shine light on a back panel of the fireplace. The light source of the backlighting system can be modulated depending on a state of the fireplace. For example, the light source can be turned on or off depending on whether the flame of the fireplace is on or off.

  • Patent number: 6863064
Abstract: A prefabricated fireplace assembly and method of manufacturing same are disclosed. The assembly is configured for direct mounting to the framework of a rough opening of a building in which it is to be installed. A prefabricated fireplace box having a combustion chamber for either wood or gas fireplaces, is connected to and carried by a surrounding framework of building materials, to provide a zero clearance fireplace module assembly. The framework forms a permanent part of the fireplace assembly and acts as a shipping container, protecting the fireplace box until the assembly is installed. After installation, the framework becomes an integral part of the wall or structure to which the assembly is mounted. External siding of the building and interior room sheetrock can be directly secured to the assembly framework, eliminating the need for additional contractor framing around the fireplace assembly.

  • Patent number: 6527217
Abstract: A bobbin for tying a fishing fly includes a pair of arms connected at respective first ends and spaced at respective second ends, each second end having a generally axially spaced bearing surface configured to receive a hub of a spool. A tube for receives a thread from the spool and a screw is connected to the arms generally between the first ends and the second ends and extends generally parallel to the axially spaced bearings for adjustably controlling the arms in a manner to apply an amount of pressure on the hubs of the spool wherein the screw is configured to permit one's hand holding the bobbin to adjust the screw.
