  • Patent number: 9241096
Abstract: A camera system includes a camera and a housing that is structured to at least partially enclose the camera. The camera includes a touch-sensitive surface that can be used to receive user input. The camera housing includes a touch-through membrane in a position that allows the membrane to align with the touch-sensitive surface when the camera is placed in the housing. The membrane transfers a user's gestures so that any touch gestures that are performed on the exterior surface of the membrane are transferred to the touch-sensitive surface.

  • Publication number: 20140328506
Abstract: Methods and systems for automatic configuration of wireless speakers are disclosed. A system is described whereby a wireless speaker is configured to use an audio tone to generate a sound wave. The sound wave is received by an audio input/output device, which uses the received sound wave to generate audio information. A processor is configured to use the audio information to determine a distance between the wireless speaker and the audio input/output device, and to configure an audio parameter of the wireless speaker as a function of the distance.

  • Publication number: 20040177128
Abstract: A portable data exchange device is configured to load a primary data set and store that data set in a first data location. The portable data exchange device may transmit or send that primary data set to one or more remote devices via a wireless communication interface. The portable data exchange device is configured to receive one or more secondary data sets from one more remote devices, and to store those secondary data sets in a second data location. In one embodiment, the device is battery powered and data is transmitted and received via an infrared transceiver. The device includes an operator selector, the selector permitting the operator to initiate an operation of the device. In one embodiment, the selector is a single button. An indicator comprising other than a graphical display provide information regarding the outcome of an operation.

  • Patent number: 6215476
Abstract: An electromagnetic pen digitizer is integrated into a flat panel display assembly using “bent TAB” active electronics. Integration is performed by placing a discrete electromagnetic pen digitizer further inside the flat panel display assembly itself behind the diffuser backlight component, but in front of the “bent TAB” active electronics. Interference from the active electronics is avoided because they are not in between the digitizer and the pen operating upon the flat panel display. The electromagnetic pen digitizer is integrated into the flat panel display assembly by inserting the digitizer into the flat panel display assembly behind the diffuser backlight during the routine manufacture of the flat panel display assembly.
