  • Patent number: 12290847
Abstract: A hydrolyzer infeed system for supplying waste material to a hydrolyzer in a continuous manner, the infeed system comprises an infeed chamber, an inlet gate separate a chamber inlet from a chamber outlet, a ram disposed to reciprocate within the infeed chamber and compress waste material against the inlet gate when the gate is in the closed position and configured to push the compressed waste material past the inlet gate into a hydrolyzer when the gate is in an open position, an actuator operably coupled to the ram and configured to move the ram between retracted and extended positions. In one aspect, the ram extends past the inlet gate when in an extended position. In another aspect, an actuator position sensor operably coupled to the actuator generates a position signal representative of a position of the actuator and a corresponding position of the ram at all positions between the retracted ram position and the extended ram position.

  • Patent number: 12241202
Abstract: In a process for transforming waste material into useful material, a quantity of waste material such as household garbage or municipal solid waste is provided. The waste material is pre-shredded into pre-shredded waste material. The pre-shredded waste material is processed to at least partially remove one or more selected material components, thereby providing a processed pre-shredded waste material. The processed pre-shredded waste material is then secondarily shredded into secondarily shredded waste material which is then hydrolyzed under pressure greater than ambient pressure to create an aggregate cellulose pulp.

  • Publication number: 20240246127
Abstract: A hydrolyzer outfeed system includes a hydrolyzer having a hydrolyzer outlet, an intermediate pressure chamber having a pressure chamber inlet and a pressure chamber outlet, and an expansion chamber. A pressure chamber inlet valve selectively communicates the hydrolyzer outlet with the pressure chamber inlet, the inlet valve having an inlet valve cross-sectional area in a fully open position. A pressure chamber outlet valve selectively communicates the pressure chamber outlet with the expansion chamber. The pressure chamber outlet valve has an outlet valve cross-sectional area in a fully open position. The outlet valve cross-sectional area is smaller than the inlet valve cross-sectional area.

  • Publication number: 20240246128
Abstract: A process for transforming a stream of MSW material into feedstock for an anaerobic digester and the resulting generation of biogas and other useful products includes the removal of one or more selected chlorine containing components and the retaining of substantially all paper components. At least 70% by mass of the incoming stream of MSW material is hydrolyzed and subsequently directed to the anaerobic digester.

  • Publication number: 20140067406
Abstract: Methods and systems using a computer system for facilitating a transaction among a surgical provider, a medical device provider, and a payor are disclosed. A cost to provide medical devices needed for an identified procedure is estimated. Revenue to an entity that controls the computer system may also be estimated. Medical devices actually used in the surgical procedure are identified. A request may be submitted to the payor for reimbursement of costs associated with the devices actually used.
