  • Patent number: 9930981
Abstract: A cup lid for use with a drinking cup containing a liquid, the cup having a base and a sidewall extending upwardly from the base, the sidewall including an inner surface, a top end, and a rim extending along the circumference of the top end. A first part lying in a first plane and having a top surface. Means on said first part for releasably mounting said first part to the top end of the cup to form a substantially liquid tight seal between the cup lid and the cup. A second part depends radially outwardly from said first part and lies in a second plane. A longitudinal axis and a distal end on said second part. Means on the second part for movement relative to said first part. Compartment means is formed between the inner surface of the cup and the second part for allowing liquid in the cup to flow into the compartment and out of the compartment.

  • Patent number: 9125505
Abstract: A holding sleeve for use with a cup, the cup having a top end and an outer wall and comprising a substantially flat longitudinal and continuous elongated strip. The strip has a first end and a second end. The first end is spaced apart and distant from said second end. Attachment means is on at least either the first end or the second end for connecting the first end to the second end to form a hollow band. The band has a top edge, an inside surface and an outside surface. The band has mounting means on the band for positioning the band onto the cup where the top edge of the band is proximal to the top end of the cup and the inside surface of the band is contiguous to the sidewall of the cup to provide a snug fit between the band and the sidewall. At least one moveable tab on the top edge of the band. The tab has a top part and a bottom part. The top edge of the band has the shape of a first arc and the bottom part of the tab has the shape of a second arc.

  • Publication number: 20140305953
Abstract: A cup lid comprising a first part lying in a first plane and having a top surface and a second part depends radially outwardly from said first part and lies in a second plane. Means on the second part and traversing perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the second part for preventing the tearing of the second part during the movement of the second part. First container means on the second part and second container means on the second part contiguous to the first container means. Barrier means mounted on the second part for impeding a portion of the liquid in the cup from flowing directly out of the drinking aperture. Latching means on said cup lid located near the center axis of rotation of the cup lid.

  • Patent number: 5070407
Abstract: In a video camera using a silicon diode tube or a similar acting light sensitive solid state pickup element as a light image sensing device, a light control device which detects light in the visual spectrum and upon receipt of visual spectrum light operates a mechanical switching device which positions a Cut I-R filter in front of the image sensing device for visual light illuminated objects and positions a optical or neutral density filter in front of the image sensing device in the absences of any visual light for detection of infra-red light illuminated objects. Different filters can be substituted for other illuminating light frequencies.

  • Patent number: 4694140
Abstract: The invention is directed to an AC power supply for portable welding machines or the like which employ a transformer of either single or multi-phase power wound around a cylindrical core. The core is constructed from a continuous length of steel alloy ribbon. The individual windings of both the primary and secondary are spaced apart. In operation the transformer is submerged in a heat transfer medium to provide cooling thereof by heat transfer therefrom. The transformer may have either a tapped primary or secondary or both to provide secondary amperage for the intended use of the transformer. An external cooling radiator may be employed to provide additional cooling to the heat transfer medium.

  • Patent number: 4673268
Abstract: The invention is directed to a highly accurate remote positionable pan and tilt mount for a television camera or the like. The pan and tilt portions are rotated by stepping motors. The pan portion can be continuously rotated in either direction through 360.degree..

  • Patent number: 4546420
Abstract: A simple, light weight air cooled filter arrangement for a high intensity narrow band pass filtered light fixture. In lighting fixtures such as infrared energy sources or stage lighting, it is necessary to filter a conventional broad spectrum energy source so that only energy in the desired region is transmitted. These filters which absorb energy in bands other than those being transmitted tend to become very hot particularly when high energy sources are required. A light fixture is provided having a plurality of spaced filters near a light output end. Each filter, except the outer most filter, has a portion of its outer periphery removed. These open areas are alternately positioned to form a tortuous air path between adjacent filters. A cooling fan draws filtered exterior ambient air through the tortuous paths between the filters and exits the warmed air past the energy source out the end remote from the filters.

  • Patent number: 4113206
Abstract: Lighter-than-air apparatus includes a thin, pliable air-tight outer envelope disposed in overlying relationship over a light-weight, coarse-opening inner frame of a spherelike shape. The envelope includes a sealable opening therein, so that the envelope can be at least partially evacuated to render the apparatus lighter than air. A vacuum pump is provided and is connected in fluid communication with the opening for controlling the quantity of air contained in the envelope to determine the amount of lifting energy. In one form of the invention, an outer frame is disposed within the envelope and surrounding the inner frame, and the outer frame is composed of a stiff, rigid open-mesh material with the openings in the inner frame being smaller in size than the opening in the outer frame.

  • Patent number: 4027625
Abstract: A commode for use by pets is adapted to contain litter material and includes an opened mouth rigid base having a disposable container, such as a plastic bag, nested within the hollow interior of the base, the base supporting from below an opened mouth box containing the litter material. A closure in the form of a slidable tray supports the litter material from below and is adapted to close a lower opening in the box, the closure being movable to an open position to enable used litter material to fall under the force of gravity through the lower opening and into the disposable container. When the closure is moved to its closed position, it effectively seals the open disposable container within the base so that the used litter material may be stored therein for relatively long periods of time.
