  • Publication number: 20220112475
Abstract: Fabry disease is a rare (incidence approximately 1 in 20,000) X-linked inborn error of glycolipid metabolism caused by a deficiency of the lysosomal enzyme, ?-galactosidase A, that leads to early death in affected males due to occlusive disease of the heart, kidney, and brain. The present invention provides a method to treat Fabry disease with a modified alpha-Galactosidase A enzyme derivative with improved stability and catalytic properties. As a result of the present invention, an effective therapeutic effect is achieved with a lower dose of enzyme infused to the patients.

  • Publication number: 20190093291
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an artificial turf includes creating fluid polyurethane mass. The creation including reacting first and second polyols with an isocyanate. The first polyol is a polyether polyol and/or a polyester polyol having at least 2 hydroxyl groups per molecule, the second polyol being polybutadien diol. The isocyanate including isocyanate monomers, isocyanate polymers or isocyanate prepolymers or a mixture thereof, the isocyanate monomers, isocyanate polymers and the isocyanate prepolymers having two or more isocyanate groups per molecule. The method further includes incorporating an artificial turf fiber into a carrier such that a first portion of the fiber protrudes to the front side of the carrier and that a second portion of the fiber is located at the back side of the carrier, adding the fluid polyurethane mass on the back side of the carrier, and hardening the fluid polyurethane mass.

  • Publication number: 20170268212
Abstract: The new product improves upon a standard pop-up drain stopper which is controlled by a horizontal pivot rod as is used in bathroom/lavatory sinks. The stopper has a bell receiving base threaded to match a like threaded male ā€œLā€ shaped pivot rod allowing the stopper removal or installation to be done without removal of the pivot rod to clear a clogged drain. The invention is installed by inserting the ā€œLā€ shaped directional rod into receiving port of drain tube then inserting the threaded stopper on to the threaded pivot rod and turning in a clockwise motion until fully seated. To remove, push lever downward to raise stopper to apex and turn in a counter clockwise direction and lifting out of drain opening. This allows cleaning of drain clogs without disassembling the mechanical components located under the sink as is required to remove the typical pop-up stopper.
