  • Patent number: 11957408
Abstract: A medical device that includes a handle, a sheath extending from the handle, and a tool within the sheath and movable relative to the sheath. The handle includes an inner body and an outer body disposed over the inner body. The outer body is movable relative to the inner body. The handle includes a first actuator secured to the tool. The first actuator has an actuated state permitting movement of the tool relative to the sheath in response to moving the outer body relative to the inner body. The handle includes a second actuator secured to the sheath. The second actuator has an actuated state permitting movement of the sheath relative to the tool in response to moving the second actuator relative to the outer body. An unactuated state of the first actuator and an unactuated state of the second actuator prevents movement of the tool relative to the sheath.

  • Publication number: 20210186607
Abstract: A device a catheter includes a lumen extending therethrough, the catheter being sized and shaped to extend through an endoscopic shaft to a target tissue within a living body. The device also includes a puncturing device sized and shaped to extend through the lumen of the catheter and distally out a distal end of the catheter. The device further includes at least one of the catheter and the puncturing device including an electrode formed thereon. The electrode is energizable from a handle of the device so that, when the puncturing device is extended distally out the distal end of the catheter. The electrode may be energized as the device punctures the target tissue.

  • Publication number: 20210128873
Abstract: A device may include a catheter and a support tube. The catheter includes a lumen extending therethrough. The catheter is sized and shaped to extend through an endoscopic shaft to a target tissue within a living body. The lumen is sized and shaped for receiving a puncturing device therethrough. The catheter includes a first catheter portion distal to a second catheter portion. The first and second catheter portions are formed from different materials. The first catheter portion has a flexible curved distal end. The tube is fixed about an outer surface of a proximal end of the first catheter portion and an outer surface of a distal end of the second catheter portion.

  • Publication number: 20200078026
Abstract: Retro guidewire reamers include a drill having a tubular shaft configured to be disposed over a guidewire and at least one cutting member movably disposed adjacent the distal end of the shaft. A slide actuator is moveably coupled to the shaft and to an actuator wire slidable along the shaft. The actuator wire is operative to move the at least one cutting member between a closed position and a deployed position when the slide actuator is moved along the shaft. The retro guidewire reamers include mechanisms to protect the mechanical joint between the actuator wire and the slide actuator which prevent the actuator wire from disengaging from the slide actuator when the cutting member is obstructed by a guidewire.

  • Patent number: 10204235
Abstract: Applications are stored on removable storage of a mobile device in an encrypted form to provide isolation and piracy protection. In one implementation, each application is encrypted using its own associated encryption key that is generated based on an identifier of the application and a master key that is associated with a trusted platform module of the mobile device. In another implementation, each application is encrypted using two associated encryption keys. One key is used to encrypt binary data associated with the application such as source code, and the other key is used to encrypt application data such as graphics and configuration files. The encryption keys are each generated using the identifier of the application, the master key, and identifiers of the folders where the corresponding data types are stored on the mobile device. The removable storage includes SD cards formatted using the FAT or exFAT file systems.

  • Publication number: 20170252038
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for arthroscopic meniscal tear repair. An apparatus includes a rigid outer sheath, and a needle residing within the rigid outer sheath, the needle including a superelastic material having an angled tip portion and a lumen having a longitudinal slot, a distal end of the needle having a bend, a deflection angle of the bend dependent upon an extent to which the needle is advanced from the stiff outer sheath.

  • Patent number: 9544374
Abstract: An operating system or other software resident on an electronic processing device employs aggregated timestamps. In this way timestamps can be generated and compared to one another without the need for a real-time clock with a power backup. Aggregated time includes the last known time that the device synchronized its clock with a reference time available over a network. Aggregated time also includes a relative time value which in part accumulates using a session clock whenever the device is powered-up. When network time becomes available the operating system or other software will use this information to fix up the already generated aggregated timestamps. A comparison of timestamps will most of the time be resolved for stamps generated on the same device and will generally be resolved by comparing time frames when the timestamps being compared are generated by different devices.
