  • Publication number: 20210176092
Abstract: A vehicle communication system includes a first vehicle gateway controller that selects a first subset of signals generated using a first protocol by a first plurality of vehicle controllers. • Publication number: 20060041153
Abstract: In one aspect of the invention, a method recovers oil from a concentrated byproduct, such as evaporated thin stillage formed during a dry milling process used for producing ethanol. The method includes forming a concentrate from the byproduct and recovering oil from the concentrate. The step of forming the concentrate may comprise evaporating the byproduct. Further, the step of separating the oil from the concentrate may comprise using a centrifuge and, in particular, a disk stack centrifuge. Other aspects of the invention include related methods and subsystems for recovering oil from thin stillage.

  • Patent number: 6576803
Abstract: The present invention provides a catalyst for the oxidative dehydrogenation of a lower hydrocarbon to form at least one higher hydrocarbon and/or lower olefin. In one embodiment, the catalyst includes a nonstoichiometric rare earth oxycarbonate of the formula MXCYOZ having a disordered and/or defect structure, wherein M is at least one rare earth element selected from the group consisting of La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, and Tm; X=2; Z=3+AY; A is less than about 1.8, and Y is the number of carbon atoms in the oxycarbonate. When used for the oxidative dehydrogenation of a lower hydrocarbon at a pressure above about 100 psig, the catalyst has a selectivity of at least about 40% to at least one higher hydrocarbon and/or lower olefin. Methods for preparing catalysts taught by the invention and processes for using the catalysts for the oxidative dehydrogenation of lower hydrocarbons are also provided.

  • Patent number: 6155229
Abstract: An internal combustion engine with charge stratification and directed air flow is provided. A charge motion control valve is positioned in the upper intake manifold and bifurcated intake ports are utilized in the cylinder head which direct the air flow into one intake port when desired. This provides improved engine performance, emissions, and fuel economy with easier packaging and consequently reduced cost.

  • Patent number: 6024063
Abstract: A camshaft lash adjustment process for an internal combustion engine includes the steps of substituting a tiltable camshaft retainer for a camshaft bearing cap which is proximate a driven end of the camshaft, followed by removal of all remaining camshaft bearing caps and the substitution of a camshaft tilt limiter for one of the camshaft bearing caps so as to allow rotation of the camshaft to a tilted position. This permits adjustment of valve tappets driven by the camshaft.
