  • Patent number: 11312038
Abstract: The present invention provides wood preservative composition containing a dispersed and/or emulsified phase comprising a wood preservative component; and a stabilizer. The stabilizer is a cationic polymer, an enzyme, organic polymer, quaternary ammonium compound and/or a mixture thereof. Also provided is a method of preserving wood or other cellulosic material which comprises applying to the wood or other cellulosic material.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 30, 2015
Date of Patent: April 26, 2022
    Assignee: ARCH WOOD PROTECTION, INC.
Inventors: Kimberlee Thompson, Susan Thomason, Alex Valcke, David Cantrell
  • Patent number: 9325506
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for enforcing site or organization localized provisioning policy using cryptography. In an exemplary method, a signing key is used to generate a signature for an application. The signature of the application is verified using a verifying key in order to determine whether the application adheres to the site or organization localized provisioning policy. The verifying may be performed during initialization of a computing device or during runtime of an operating system at the computing device.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 23, 2014
Date of Patent: April 26, 2016
    Assignee: Red Hat, Inc.
    Inventors: Peter Jones, David Cantrell

  • Publication number: 20070238891
Abstract: A method is provided for recovering oil from stillage including oil resulting from a process used for producing ethanol. In one embodiment, the method includes heating the stillage to a temperature sufficient to at least partially separate, or unbind, the oil therefrom The method further includes recovering the oil from the stillage.

  • Publication number: 20060041152
Abstract: In one aspect of the invention, a method recovers oil from a concentrated byproduct, such as evaporated thin stillage formed during a dry milling process used for producing ethanol. The method includes forming a concentrate from the byproduct and recovering oil from the concentrate. The step of forming the concentrate may comprise evaporating the byproduct. Further, the step of separating the oil from the concentrate may comprise using a centrifuge and, in particular, a disk stack centrifuge. Other aspects of the invention include related methods and subsystems for recovering oil from thin stillage.
