Abstract: A method is presented that includes providing a set of spectacle magnifiers, each magnifier in the set having a different corresponding diopter value, the magnifiers together providing a sequence of evenly incremented diopter values. The set further includes a magnifier having a lowest value (MAG0), a magnifier having a highest value (MAGN), and one or more magnifiers having values between those of MAG0 and MAGN. In one or more embodiments, the diopter value increment between any two successive magnifiers of the set is equal to K(0.1) log, where K is an integer>0 or a fraction whose denominator is an integer>0. In one or more embodiments, one or more elements of the set are packaged for sale. In some embodiments, a set of optical, telescopic, or electronic magnification devices may be provided, the set including one or more devices configured to provide non-rectilinear magnification.
