The network server may also alter the audio-video stream based on the received operating mode notification and send the altered audio-video stream to the receiver device via the service provider network.

In particular, in one or more embodiments, systems and methods generate georeference information relating to aerial images captured without ground control points based on existing aerial images. For example, systems and methods can access a new set of aerial images without ground control points and utilize existing aerial images containing ground control points to generate a georeferenced representation corresponding to the features of the new set of aerial images. Similarly, systems and methods can access a new image without ground control points and utilize an existing georeferenced orthomap to produce a georeferenced orthomap corresponding to the features of the new image. One or more embodiments of the disclosed systems and methods permit users to obtain georeference information related to new images without the need to place ground control points or collect additional georeference information.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for a more efficient transmission of network traffic are provided. According to one embodiment, presence of outbound payload data, distributed across a first and second payload buffer, within a user memory space of a network device that has been generated by a user process is determined by a bus/memory interface or a network interface unit. The payload data is fetched by performing direct virtual memory addressing of the user memory space including mapping virtual addresses of the payload buffers to corresponding physical addresses, including: (i) when the payload buffers are noncontiguous, then retrieving the outbound payload data with reference to multiple buffer descriptors having starting virtual addresses of the payload buffers and (ii) when they are contiguous, then retrieving the outbound payload data with reference to a single buffer descriptor. The outbound payload data is then segmented across one or more TCP packets.

Various features relate to dynamically modifying and providing media presentation description (MPD) information to customer devices. The client device, e.g., a IP content playback device, switches between a mode used during playing of program segments in which an in-band EMSG is used to trigger a request for an MPD update and a mode of operation used during the playing of additional or alternative content segments during which the client device will periodically request MPD information. By limiting requests for MPD information during normal program segments to requests triggered by an EMSG the number of update requests can be minimized or reduced as compared to other approaches where requests for updated MPD information are made periodically.

The fixation device may be secured to a tendon thereby increasing a resistance to rotation or axial motion.
