Publication number: 20230297964Abstract: A method, a system, and computer program product for managing pay equity cloud-based software applications are provided. A query for compensation data for an employment position associated with a macro-entity is received. The employment position is defined by parameters associated with a micro-entity. The compensation data for similar employment positions associated with the macro-entity is retrieved, from a database and by using the parameters. The compensation data is processed to generate grouped and ranked employment positions. Compensation gaps between the ranked employment positions are determined, by executing a multivariate regression analysis including an analysis of one or more cohorts of employment positions within the ranked employment positions. A recommendation for adjusting compensation associated with one or more employment positions is generated, by using a machine learning model. An instruction to display a notification including the recommendation is provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 15, 2023Publication date: September 21, 2023Inventors: Gregory Kent Plunkett, Yong Zhang, Heidi Ambler, Alden Aikins, Lan Cheng, David Cross, Jennifer Demore, Carol Ferrari, Christopher Fusco, Helene Gold, Conor Himstead, Christopher Knize, Andrew Linn, Patricia Mulkeen, Caitlin Schiattareggia, Garry Straker, Jonathan Sweet, David Turetsky

Publication number: 20230285010Abstract: Co-manipulation robotic systems are described herein that may be used for assisting with laparoscopic surgical procedures. The co-manipulation robotic systems allow a surgeon to use commercially-available surgical tools while providing benefits associated with surgical robotics. Advantageously, the surgical tools may be seamlessly coupled to the robot arms using a disposable coupler while the reusable portions of the robot arm remain in a sterile drape. Further, the co-manipulation robotic system may operate in multiple modes to enhance usability and safety, while allowing the surgeon to position the instrument directly with the instrument handle and further maintain the desired position of the instrument using the robot arm.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 16, 2023Publication date: September 14, 2023Applicant: Moon Surgical SASInventors: David Paul NOONAN, Jad FAYAD, Victoria Cheng-Ten WU, Jeffery Byron ALVAREZ, Ehsan BASAFA, Nicolas LINARD

Patent number: 11686239Abstract: An intake manifold is provided. A first inlet is structured to receive pressurized intake air from a turbocharger. A second inlet is structured to receive exhaust gas recirculation gas from an exhaust gas recirculation system. A third inlet is structured to receive fuel from a fuel line. A plurality of outlets are structured to be fluidly coupled to an engine. An intake manifold passage extends between each of the first, second, and third inlets, and the plurality of outlets. The intake manifold passage is shaped so as to cause at least two reversals in flow direction of each of the intake air, the exhaust gas recirculation gas, and the fuel through the intake manifold passage so as to improve mixing of each of the intake air, the exhaust gas recirculation gas, and the fuel.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 2022Date of Patent: June 27, 2023Assignee: Cummins Inc.Inventors: Daniel J. Patent number: 11689089Abstract: Wireless power transmission (WPT) systems are provided. For example, the WPT system can use one or more power transmitting coils and a receiver for electromagnetically coupled wireless power transfer. The electrodynamic receiver can be in the form of an electrodynamic transducer where a magnet is allowed to oscillate near a receiving coil to induce a voltage in the receiving coil, a piezoelectric transducer where the magnet causes a vibrating structure with a piezoelectric layer to move, an electrostatic transducer where movement of the magnet causes a capacitor plate to move, or a combination thereof. An alternating magnetic field from the transmitting coil(s) excites the magnet in the receiver into mechanical resonance. The vibrating magnet then functions similar to an energy harvester to induce voltage/current on an internal coil, piezoelectric material, or variable capacitor.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 2022Date of Patent: June 27, 2023Assignee: University of Florida Research Foundation, Inc.Inventors: David Patrick Arnold, Shuo Cheng, Vinod Reddy Challa
