Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for utilizing triply periodic minimal surface structures for additive manufacturing of a thermal management system are disclosed, wherein the thermal management system comprises: a solid structure; a triply periodic minimal surface structure within the solid structure, wherein the triply periodic minimal surface structure comprises a first fluid channel and a second fluid channel; a first inlet coupled to the solid structure and configured to pass a first fluid into the first fluid channel; a second inlet coupled to the solid structure and configured to pass a second fluid into the second fluid channel; a first outlet coupled to the solid structure and configured to pass the first fluid out of the first fluid channel; and a second outlet coupled to the solid structure and configured to pass the second fluid out of the second fluid channel. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: A system including a device configured to be partially inside of a target object (and to remain affixed to such object substantially irremovably and in an unchanged orientation with respect to such object at least on a time-scale comparable to term of life or use of the target object itself) to provide chronic access to an internal object location from an outside location and communication with such location along multiple communication channels that are spatially separate and substantially immovable with respect to one another while remaining moveable together and synchronously with the object. Delivery of electromagnetic energy and a material stimulus along the first and second communication channels is carried out such as to necessarily maintain unchanged mutual spatial positioning and orientation between the channels regardless of whether the channels are being used or not and regardless of whether the target object—together with these channels—is spatially repositioned.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are implantable devices coated with a reagent, and methods of preparing and utilizing such devices. The implantable device may comprise an implantable light conduit. The present disclosure enables a more precise registration between the reagent and the device implanted in the target tissue of a subject.

Abstract: A system and method for an automatic transfer switch comprising a fixed contact, a first oscillating rod communicatively and operatively connected to a first movable contact, a second oscillating rod communicatively and operatively connected to a second movable contact, a link rod communicatively and operable connected to the first and second oscillating rods, and a guide plate. The automatic transfer switch is operable to position the guide plate based at least on a state of a solenoid. A permanent magnetic actuator communicatively and operatively connected to the link rod via a third oscillating rod is operable to rotate the first oscillating rod or the second oscillating rod based at least on the position of the guide plate.
