  • Patent number: 11073358
Abstract: A quick-disconnect (QD) sling swivel includes a main body receivable in a socket on a firearm, a locking mechanism coupled to the main body, and an actuation mechanism coupled to the locking mechanism and depressible in a direction generally perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the QD sling swivel. When the actuation mechanism is depressed, the locking mechanism is in a first position such that the main body is decouplable from and is freely movable in and out of the socket. When the at least one actuation button is not depressed with a portion of the main body received in the socket, the locking mechanism is in a second position such that the main body is interlockingly received in the socket with the locking mechanism engaged therewith.

  • Patent number: 10935343
Abstract: An apparatus implementable on a firearm includes a quick-detach (QD) handguard assembly which includes a handguard and a locking mechanism. The handguard has a hollow therein allowing the handguard to surround a barrel of the firearm with the barrel traversing through the hollow along a longitudinal axis of the handguard. The locking mechanism is coupled to the handguard. The locking mechanism includes a QD lever configured to lock the handguard to a barrel nut of the firearm and unlock the handguard from the barrel nut.

  • Patent number: 9388648
Abstract: A tubular threaded connection for coupling drill pipe segments to form a drill string is provided. Each of the segments has a tubular pipe body having a wall thickness of >0.5 inches (1.27 cm). The threaded connection comprises a pin end with an external thread, and a box end with an internal thread for threadable engagement with the external thread of the pin end. The pin shoulder extends between a pin base diameter and an outer pin bevel diameter; the box shoulder extends between a box base diameter and an outer box bevel diameter. The outer pin and box bevel diameters are between 7.75-8.688 inches (19.36-22.07 cm). The pin and box shoulders define a contact area such that, when the pin and box ends are threaded together with a make-up torque of >75,000 ft-lbs (10,369 kg-m), a load capacity of >2.0 million lbs (908,000 kg) is provided.

  • Patent number: 9189043
Abstract: Power over Ethernet (PoE) communication systems provide power and data communications over the same communications link, where a power source device (PSE) provides DC power to a powered device (PD). The DC power is transmitted simultaneously over the same communications medium with the high speed data from one node to the other node. The PSE controller measures the voltage, current, and temperature of the outgoing and incoming DC supply lines to characterize the power requirements of the PD. The PSE controller may detect and validate a compatible PD, determine a power classification signature for the validated PD, supply power to the PD, monitor the power, and reduce or remove the power from the PD when the power is no longer requested or required. If the PSE finds the PD to be non-compatible, the PSE can prevent the application of power to that PD device, protecting the PD from possible damage.

  • Patent number: 8857047
Abstract: An apparatus for incorporating a metallic foil into a semiconductor package includes a carrier embossed with a multiplicity of cavities. Each of the cavities define a pedestal recessed with the cavities which penetrate only partially through the thickness of the carrier. A metallic foil overlying a pattern with the pedestals in direct contact and help support the metallic foil with the metallic foil pressed into at least some of the cavities. In other embodiments, a gap is between the metallic foil and bottoms of the cavities in a substrate. Integrated circuit dice are attached to the foil. Each die is attached to the foil in a region of the foil overlying a portion of the at least one device area pattern. Bonding wires electrically connect the integrated circuit dice to the foil.
