  • Patent number: 8132124
Abstract: A method and apparatus for representing Web service activity utilizes a user interface. Components of the user interface present a changing graphical feature based on an activity indicator of the associated web service. The components may vary color or text indicators. Activity indicators may include loading of the Web service object or other states and activities of interest.

  • Patent number: 7496658
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for testing a network service. In one embodiment, a system and a method pertain to intercepting a message sent by a network service under test and directed another network service, determining whether the message should be redirected to a mock network service that emulates operation of the other network service, and redirecting the message to the mock network service if it is determined that the message should be so redirected.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 6920410
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for testing a network service. In one embodiment, a system and a method pertain to sending an initial request to the network service, redirecting a related request sent by the network service to an actual network service such that the related request does not reach the actual network service, emulating operation of the actual network service, and returning at least one response to the network service being tested, the at least one response being responsive to the related request.

  • Patent number: 6889160
Abstract: To facilitate the testing of a testee network service such as a web service made available on the Internet, various embodiments of a network service test system are provided. In one embodiment, a testee network service is tested using a network service test environment. The network service test environment surrounds the testee network service. The network service test environment comprises at least one mock client that is in data communication with and interacts with the testee network service. The network service test environment also includes at least one mock support network service in data communication with the testee network service. The at least one mock support network service simulates a performance of an actual support network service while a data communication link exists between the actual support network service and the testee network service.

  • Publication number: 20040243685
Abstract: A method and apparatus is presented for representing Web service activity in a user interface. Web service objects are represented in a display as a plurality of Web service graphical components. An ordered sequence of interactions between the Web service objects are read in response to selection of a control component, and a plurality of interconnection graphical components are introduced in the display. The interconnection graphical components couple two or more Web service graphical components and are presented in order of the ordered sequence of interactions between the Web service objects. A rate at which the interconnection graphical components are introduced is controlled by the control component.

  • Publication number: 20040225729
Abstract: Various systems, methods, and computer programs embodied in computer readable mediums are provided for displaying message timing. In one embodiment, a system for displaying message timing is provided that comprises a processor circuit having a processor and a memory, a display device operatively coupled to the processor circuit, and round-trip time display logic stored in the memory and executable by the processor. The round-trip time display logic comprises logic that displays a graphical representation of a round-trip message sequence between a first service and a second service on the display device, and logic that displays a message sequence time of the round-trip message sequence on the display device in association with the graphical representation of the round-trip message sequence.
