  • Publication number: 20240054197
Abstract: Systems and methods for user verification may include processor(s) to maintain a plurality of authentication profiles for respective users, where each authentication profile includes profile image(s) and a device key linked to a respective client device. The processor(s) may receive a request including the device key of the client device and a biometric image captured during the session by a camera of the client device. The processor(s) may identify the authentication profile corresponding to the user based on the device key included in the authentication profile matching the device key included in the request. The processor(s) may compare feature(s) extracted from the biometric image to feature(s) extracted from the profile image(s), and store the biometric image in the authentication profile based determining that the feature(s) from the biometric image match feature(s) from a profile image of the authentication profile.

  • Patent number: 11903143
Abstract: Examples are disclosed related to forming solder joints between printed circuits by using radiant heat. One example provides a method of manufacturing an electronic device, the method comprising aligning a contact of a first printed circuit with a via of a second printed circuit. The method further comprises applying radiant heat via an infrared light source to a second surface of the second printed circuit, the radiant heat incident on the via to cause the via to conduct heat to solder located at an interface of the contact and the via, and after heating the solder to reflow, cooling the solder, thereby forming a solder joint between the contact of the first printed circuit and the via of the second printed circuit.

  • Patent number: 11886413
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to implement a bounded group by query system that computes approximate time-sliced statistics for groups of records in a dataset according to a group by query. In embodiments, a single pass scan of the dataset is performed to accumulate exact results for a maximum number of groups in a result grouping structure (RGS) and approximate results for additional groups in an approximate result grouping structure (ARGS). RGSs and ARGSs are accumulated by a set of accumulator nodes and provided to an aggregator node, which combines the received structures to generate exact or approximate statistical results for at least a subset of the groups in the dataset. Advantageously, the disclosed query system is able to produce approximate results for at least some of the groups in a single pass of the dataset using size-bounded data structures, without predetermining the actual number of groups in the dataset.

  • Publication number: 20240000276
Abstract: A vacuum cleaning system including a robotic unit including a traction arrangement that defines a ground plane, and a docking interface for receiving a handheld vacuum cleaner. The docking interface defines a suction port, an electrical port, and a predefined interface geometry. The docking interface is reconfigurable from a first configuration for engaging with a first handheld vacuum cleaner, and a second configuration for engaging with a second handheld vacuum cleaner which is different to the first handheld vacuum cleaner. Conveniently, the system includes a robotic unit or module that is dockable or engageable with multiple handheld vacuum cleaners, thus allowing some flexibility with the type of machine that they are able to use with the robotic unit. This provides a cost effective solution for the user, because if the user upgrades their handheld vacuum cleaner that new handheld vacuum cleaner can still be used with the robotic unit.

  • Publication number: 20240001619
Abstract: According to examples, a processor may access a digital model of a portion of an object and identify a lattice structure to be formed in an interior of the digital model, in which the identified lattice structure is to provide the portion with a predefined property and is defined by an equation that includes constants. The processor may also determine values of the constants that result in surfaces of the lattice structure forming tubes, determine locations at which the identified equation with the determined values of the constants intersects with the defined boundaries, and modify the digital model to include the lattice structure with the surfaces forming tubes and cap ends added at determined locations to close open edges of the tubes at the determined locations, in which the portion is to be fabricated by a 3D fabrication system according to the modified digital model to have the predefined property.

  • Patent number: 11850504
Abstract: Enhancements to existing gaming controllers facilitating expedient response time and fine-tuned accuracy are described. The enhancements comprise the internal modification of the stock resistance force supplied by the analog stick centering spring mechanism. Through modification, the force of resistance supplied may be increased to over 200 grams of force, or down to 40 grams of force, while maintaining full function of the analog stick mechanism. A second primary enhancement replaces the stock triggers, conventionally equipped with progressive resistance sensors, to a momentary ‘snap-action’ two-way switch, minimizing trigger pull distance, and removing the analog nature of the trigger to achieve optimal performance.
