  • Publication number: 20250292437
Abstract: A conferencing system may connect a processing unit to a camera and a microphone in a meeting room. A calibration module of the processing unit may generate a calibration strategy prior to obtaining video data from the camera, with the processing unit, in accordance with the calibration strategy. The processing unit may then translate the video data into spatial data that is utilized by a mapping module of the processing unit to identify a physical location of the microphone in the meeting room. The calibration module may determine a field of view operating parameter of the camera in response to the spatial data.

  • Publication number: 20080008725
Abstract: The invention provides influenza proteins, including subunit proteins and immunogenic compositions that can be utilized, with or without adjuvants, as vaccines to protect against influenza infection in animal models and humans. The recombinant proteins are expressed from transformed insect cells that contain integrated copies of the appropriate expression cassettes in their genome. The invention uses a Drosophila melanogaster expression system to provide high yields of recombinant subunit proteins with native-like conformation.

  • Publication number: 20070082011
Abstract: Filovirus subunit protein immunogens are produced using a recombinant expression system and combined with one or more adjuvants in immunogenic formulations. The subunit proteins include GP95, GP-FL, VP40, VP24, and NP derived from Ebola Virus and Marburg Virus. Adjuvants include saponins, emulsions, alum, and dipeptidyl peptidase inhibitors. The disclosed immunogenic formulations are effective in inducing strong antibody responses directed against individual Filovirus proteins and intact Filovirus particles as well as stimulating cell-mediated immune responses to the Filoviruses.

  • Patent number: 6263975
Abstract: A lawn edger includes an edge guide movable between a curb-edging mode and a trench mode. A lever is connected to the edge guide and extends through an aperture of a blade guard that is positioned to cover at least a portion of the cutting blade. The lever is positionable to move the edge guide between the curb-edging mode and the trench mode. When the edge guide is in the trench mode, the lever moves from a retracted position into an extended position, thereby providing a visual directional to the user.

  • Patent number: 6165477
Abstract: The Flaviviridae comprise a number of medically important pathogens that cause significant morbidity in humans including the dengue (DEN) virus, Japanese encephalitis (JE) virus, tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBE), and yellow fever virus (YF). Flaviviruses are generally transmitted to vertebrates by chronically infected mosquito or tick vectors. The viral particle which is enveloped by host cell membranes, comprises a single positive strand genomic RNA and the structural capsid (CA), membrane (M), and envelope (E) proteins. The E and M proteins are found on the surface of the virion where they are anchored in the membrane. Mature E is glycosylated and contains functional domains responsible for cell surface attachment and intraendosomal fusion activities. Problems have arisen in the art with respect to producing recombinant forms of the E glycoprotein that retain their native configuration and attendant properties associated therewith (i.e., ability to induce neutralizing antibody responses).

  • Patent number: 5960588
Abstract: Apparatus for adjusting a frameless window pane moved by a cable window lifter in an automobile. The apparatus includes a first guide rail which has an unlocked and a locked state, and a second guide rail. The first guide rail is freely movable to a limited degree in the unlocked state and fixed in the locked state. A window pane is connected between the first guide rail and the second guide rail such that movement of the second guide rail causes the first guide rail to move when in its unlocked state. A bolt is provided for moving the second guide rail and for locking the first guide rail.
