Abstract: The present invention discloses a dead livestock collection system comprising: a container located at a collection site close to a delimiting perimeter of a farm; a collection vehicle having a collection box with a top opening; a loading mechanism of the collection vehicle for grasping the container, lift and tip it to unload the dead livestock into the collection box; wherein the collection site has an inner access side, through which the container is accessible from inside or through the delimiting perimeter, and an opposite outer access side through which the container is accessible to the collection vehicle from outside the delimiting perimeter; the system further comprising: a refrigeration chamber for refrigerating the container and provided with a door; a door actuation unit of said door; and a translation unit for moving the container from the refrigeration chamber to the collection site and vice versa while said door is open.

Abstract: A refrigeration chamber and container assembly for a dead livestock collection system comprises a container (1) for dead livestock loaded by a farmer and a refrigeration chamber (4) to enclose the container (1). The refrigeration chamber (4) comprises a hinged door (11) movable between an open and a closed position by a door actuation unit (3), a refrigeration unit (22), and a container translation unit to move a container (1) while the door (11) is open. The container translation unit includes guide elements for guiding the movement of the container (1), comprising a first section (5) on an inner side (11a) of the door (11) and a second section (6) arranged on a lower basal surface (4a) of the refrigeration chamber (4), the first and second sections (5), (6) aligned providing a continuous path. The inner side (11a) of the door (11) in an open position provides a loading site.
