  • Publication number: 20260077471
Abstract: A hand-held battery powered hydraulic tool includes a tool frame having a motor, a working head operatively coupled to the tool frame and selectively actuatable by the motor and a rechargeable battery pack configured to power the motor, the battery pack is removably connected to the tool frame. The battery pack includes one or more cells. The cell includes first and second electrodes and an electrolyte. One or both of the first and second electrodes include a support layer and an electrochemically reactive species on the support layer and in contact with the electrolyte, and wherein the support layer includes a high specific surface area material.

  • Publication number: 20260051710
Abstract: A tool comprising a working head adapted to perform an operation on a workpiece in response to an activation signal, a location detector connected to the tool to determine a geographic location of the tool, a memory and a processor, wherein in response to the activation signal, the processor causes the working head to perform the operation on the workpiece and records the geographic location of the tool at the time the operation was performed on the workpiece in the memory.

  • Patent number: 12470032
Abstract: Portable, hand-held, battery operated, hydraulic tools are provided with a tool frame, a force sensor, and a location detector. A piston actuated by a hydraulic system within the tool frame applies force to the working head to perform a task, such as to apply a crimp to an electrical connector. The tool determines the maximum force applied to the crimp and records that maximum force along with the geographic location of the tool when the crimp was formed. The maximum force provides an indication of the quality of the crimp and the recorded location allows a potentially defective crimp to be located.

  • Patent number: 7568934
Abstract: An electrical connector configured to engage a header is provided. The connector includes a plug that is configured to be inserted into a header cavity and a sleeve member that surrounds an outer plug surface. The sleeve member includes a plurality of fingers biased to flex away from the plug surface in a flared arrangement. The connector also includes a sealing band that grips the plug surface. Also, the connector includes a collar that is configured to slide in the axial direction. When the collar moves from the retracted position to the locked position, the collar deflects the fingers against the wall surface of the header causing the fingers to cover the sealing band and the sealing band is compressed between the plug body and the header.
