Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a magnetically geared apparatus. In an example the magnetically geared comprises: a first mover comprising a plurality of first permanent magnets; a stator; a second mover; and a flux shield aligned with the first plurality of permanent magnets for attenuating magnetic flux. One of the stator and the second mover comprises a plurality of pole pieces and is positioned between the first mover and the other of the stator and the second mover. The first mover, the stator and the second mover are aligned in a first direction, and wherein the flux shield is spaced from the plurality of first permanent magnets in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction by a nonmagnetic region, thereby attenuating magnetic flux in the second direction.

Abstract: A method and system for using low earth orbit satellites to overcome latency is presented. In one embodiment, the method may include establishing a data session using a first channel having a first characteristic different than a second characteristic of a second channel, wherein the first channel is a Low Earth Orit (LEO) channel and wherein the second channel is a Geosynchronous Equatorial Orbit (GEO) channel; determining a type of traffic involved in the data session; determining whether the second channel should be used for the data session; when the second channel should be used for the data session, then switching the data session from the first channel to the second channel; and periodically monitoring the data session to determine whether the second channel should continue to be used for the data session.

The method defines a content relevance model that comprises a set of groups of word sets and a score for each group, each of the groups of word sets comprising a key word set from the set of key word sets and at least one word set found in a context of the key word set in at least one of the received content segments.

The method receives a user objective and at least one initial category for a recurring search that identifies documents relevant to several categories for presentation to a user. The method provides for display in the GUI several selectable additional categories related to the received initial category for the user objective. The method receives a selection of a set of categories through the GUI. The method provides for display in the GUI an optimized modifiable set of filters for removing specific types of documents that are relevant to the set of categories from the recurring search. The method generates the recurring search for the user based on the received categories and a modified set of filters.

The method modifies the relevancy score associated with the particular content item based on the calculated set of affinity scores.
