  • Patent number: 8690126
Abstract: Pulling eyes are provided with integrated wiring systems suitable for installing conductors or cables. The pulling eyes may include body portions that define interior cavities that are sized to snugly engage outside portions of the conductors or cables. The body portions are sized to be deformably crimped onto the outside portions of the conductors or cables. The pulling eyes may also include head portions joined to the body portions, with the head portions defining apertures for receiving a strength member for installing the conductors or cables. These apertures place the interior cavities in communication with the exteriors of the pulling eyes.

  • Patent number: 8682325
Abstract: The invention provides a method of handover from an active network to a selected one of a plurality of potential other networks. In addition to the overall solution, the solution proposed has several individual aspects. All subsidiary aspects are related to the common problem mentioned above and sharing the underlying common solution concept of implementing a system in which selective handover is possible and in which a list of available other networks provided by an active network can be handled and selection made by a terminal, so that neighbor cell information can be transmitted based on expressed terminal preferences.

  • Patent number: 8683163
Abstract: A data processing apparatus comprises a processor constructed to operate under control of a sequence of program instructions selected from a predetermined instruction set; master circuitry to request access to storage locations of the processor; an interface circuit to provide an interface for an external apparatus to signal a request for access to the storage locations and an interface for the master circuitry to signal a request for access to the storage locations; and control to provide access between the storage locations and the interface circuit in response to the request only at predetermined points in execution of the stored program, the control being operable to fix periods of time for providing such access relative to the sequence of program instructions such that execution timing of the stored instructions is independent of whether a request is supplied to the interface.

  • Patent number: 7930208
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for combining advertising messages with short message service (SMS) messages in a wireless communications system. A signaling message processing and routing node transmits and receives short message service (SMS) data packets via a communications network. The routing node includes an SMS message processing module that determines whether an SMS message should be modified to include advertisements. SMS messages, whether modified or left unmodified, are forwarded to a destination mobile communications device. The SMS message processing module applies rules to match selected advertisements with the SMS message.

  • Patent number: 7855682
Abstract: A transmitter of a platform is arranged to generate a transmission pulse, which is transmitted to a receiver of another platform and is also arranged to couple its transmission pulse to a digital receiver associated with its platform via an attenuator and a coupler. Another platform performs a similar task. Each digital receiver determines the time separation between its transmission pulse and a received pulse from the other platform. The determined time separation information is shared with the other platform, and each digital receiver then determines a time offset between the time at its platform and the other platform.

  • Patent number: 7721213
Abstract: Information for configuring control apparatus for a power system including a plurality of controlled power supplies is produced using a graphical interface which displays the topology and sequencing of the power supplies in the power system. A database is used to select power supplies to add in determining the power system topology. Sequencing is represented by displacing icons representing the power supplies along lines representing their input and output voltages, and arrows representing startup sequence dependencies. A processor produces the configuration information, consistent with the displayed topology and sequencing, using information for the selected power supplies from the database, for downloading to the control apparatus.
