  • Patent number: 7733033
Abstract: In a lighting unit for operating lamps (LA1, LA2) of a different color temperature, a number of predetermined color points can be adjusted. The color points are chosen so that the color difference calculated in the CIELAB space is the same for subsequent adjustable color points.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 22, 2006
Date of Patent: June 8, 2010
    Assignee: Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V.

  • Publication number: 20080203943
Abstract: In a lighting device equipped with three light sources supplying red, green and blue light respectively, the color and/or intensity of the light generated by the three light sources together can be adjusted by means of adjustment points. The colors corresponding to the adjustment points are chosen so that for a fraction of the adjustment points the color difference calculated in the CIELAB space between the colors corresponding to adjacent adjustment points is the same. An inexperienced user can easily find a desired color setting since the change in color perceived by the user is the same for all the adjustment points belonging to said fraction.

  • Publication number: 20080125873
Abstract: In a method and system of configuring a control system for a plurality of devices (12) of different types, each device has at least one operating parameter. At least one operating parameter setting is stored in a memory for each device. The operating parameter setting depends on a use parameter. A set of devices is assigned to a first area (4, 6, 8, 10), and a use parameter is assigned to the first area. An operating parameter setting corresponding to the use parameter is selected for each device in the first area. A further use parameter is assigned to a plurality of areas (14) including the first area (4, 6, 8, 10). An operating parameter setting corresponding to said further use parameter is selected for at least one device in said plurality of areas.
