  • Patent number: 9950280
Abstract: The invention provides methods and devices for isolating chromatin from liquid samples. The devices have a rigid porous matrix on which a ligand is immobilized, with the ligand binding to a protein associated with the chromatin.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 20, 2016
Date of Patent: April 24, 2018
    Assignee: Porvair Filtration Group Limited
Inventors: Igor Chernukhin, Elena Klenova, David Cowieson, Samantha Brown
  • Publication number: 20170100683
Abstract: In one aspect, there is provided a method for isolating chromatin from a sample, comprising a step of passing a liquid sample comprising chromatin through a rigid porous matrix on which a ligand is immobilized, wherein the ligand binds to a protein associated with the chromatin.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20050281878
Abstract: The present invention provides a process for the preparation of a functionalised porous material comprising the steps of sintering polymer components to provide a porous substrate and grafting a chemical species selected from a molecularly imprinted to polymer and a functionalised moiety onto the porous substrate to provide the functionalised porous material; wherein when the polymer components are a polymer powder and the chemical species is a functionalised moiety, the chemical species is grafted using pulsed plasma polymerisation.
    Type: Application
    Filed: October 28, 2003
    Publication date: December 22, 2005
    Inventors: David Cowieson, Sergiy Pilestsky
  • Publication number: 20020064413
Abstract: A porous article and method of making a porous article suitable for allowing the passage and release of fluids/vapours/aerosols therethrough comprising the steps of: metering a predetermined amount of powder onto or into a first mould piece; introducing a second mould piece onto the powder so as to shape the powder into the desired shape of the finished article or using a combination of metered dosing and mould vibration to achieve greater control over the powder filling operation and final powder density; heating the powder to a sufficient temperature for sintering thereof to occur thus forming the porous article; and removing the article from the mould pieces.
    Type: Application
